Arrived in Brighton on a Monday and managed to park in the pay and display outside for just £10 for 24 hours. Was greeted by friendly staff. Our room was the Renaissance suite. The room was nicely decorated and clean. We had a balcony with a sea view and you could clearly see the pier. The bed was very comfortable and the hotel was well located.
The Renaissance suite however was not a suite. The definition of a suite is as follows
Suites offer multiple rooms, with more space and furniture than a standard hotel room. In addition to one or more beds and bedroom fixtures, a suite includes a living room or sitting room, sometimes with a couch that converts into a bed.
There was a bed, small coffee table, two chairs, two bedside cabinets, dressing table and a wardrobe. Therefore we felt using the term suite was misleading. There was also not set of drawers just the drawers in the bedside cabinet so a lack of place to put clothes. Also the en-suite was tiny. It was a small cupboard like room with a shower, toilet and wash hand basin. There was not enough room to dry yoursef in the en-suite, my partner had to come out of the ensuite to dry himself and he is a small man so it was not down to his size. There was no shaver/toothbrush charger point and the sealant around the base of the shower tray was shoddy Also the water pressure from the shower head was very low.
All this being said we would probably stay again but only if the rates were lower to reflect the room.
