We go to this restaurant/cafe quite regularly because its handy when we are in the garden centre. I would say that it is a bit hit and miss.
Seating - inside its a bit ugly and the ambience isn't all that really. However, on a nice day, sitting outside is wonderful. You can see all the outdoor plants for sale and people watch and it is a lovely sun trap.
Food - Hot food is really hit and miss. Sometimes it is nice, othertimes it is horrid. Avoid the sandwiches in the chiller at all costs. Boring fillings and dry bread. The ones they make up are alright, but could be better. However, the cakes and scones are always lovely.
Service - Not great. The is usually always a queue which goes down very slowly. Generally there is always a new person on who doesn't know what they are doing (not their fault, but still not great when you have a long queue).
I'd give it a try if you are there, but as garden centre cafe's go, there are others that are much nicer.
