We had brunch here for two a couple of weeks ago, Welsh Rarebit with bacon and fried egg. It was so good we came back two days later for more... The 2nd time we shared an order of chips - fantastic, double fried, chunky and so crispy!

We will be stopping here again when we visit Brighton next for sure. Friendly staff and a nice welcoming bar.

I discovered this fabulous pub walking among the streets between the sea and the city centre.
I was with friends and we had lunch in the beer garden.

I chose sausages and mash but I can't eat dairy products so the waitress recommended me the same one but with new potatoes instead of mash.
It was fantastic, so yummy.
The portion was big and full of different things, sausages, potatoes and other vegetables.
My friends had fish and chips and chicken wings. Both of them were very good and tasty.

All the staff was so lovely, they always smile and they try to be helpful in every moment.

Well done, this is a very nice place!

Our fish & chip meal was as good if not better than the local specialist fish & chip shops in Brighton. The fish (Cod), was huge and the batter was very thin, holding hardly any oil at all. The chips were big, chunky, crisp and hot, accompanied by a generous portion of garden peas and a small salad. As a couple of old buggers, we were quite happy with the dulcet tones of Radio 2 playing quietly to provide the ambiance.
This was preceded and washed down with a pint of "Joya" ale which too was top-notch. Kept quite cold for an ale which I prefer, and full of complex flavours.
The food came quite quickly and the staff were friendly. I summoned the chef to our table after our meal to tell her about her fabulous cooking that night which she was very happy about as the manager told her that she needed to speak to someone who had complained. My sense of humour too!
Thoroughly recommend the Thomas Kemp.
