Really well situated with a sea view from the higher floors. Spotlessly clean and Sean and his team are really friendly, professional and welcoming. The breakfast is fresh, well sourced and really tasty with some interesting fishy and eggy choices. The rooms are good sizes (we had two on our visit as we decided to stay an extra day). Good quality linen. Decor is simple and modern and the bathrooms are nice sizes - watch the water pressure in the shower on the higher floors though. All together a really nice stay - quiet and calm atmosphere and walking distance to all main Brighton attractions. Sean is a damn good cook and good for restaurant recommendations.

I stayed here as friends were staying at the same place.
It looks beautiful! Absolutely spotless, beautiful decor and very clean. The couple who own it are very nice although they didn't introduce themselves or show me around the hotel, only to my room.

After a pleasant evening out, I returned to my room, which was situated on the ground floor. Firstly I couldn't open the windows because it was on the ground floor, right next to the street therefore the room got really stuffy. Secondly the bed was very lumpy and uncomfortable. Thirdly, the noise of various pipe work and banging throughout the night was quite unreal.
Overall I had a shocking nights sleep. The saving grace of this overnight stay was the shower, the breakfast and the fact that I didn't have to spend another night there.

Room Tip: One of my friends had a deluxe room which was at the back of the hotel, this was bigger but just as...

We have stopped at the whitehouse on several occasions. It's a lovely hotel , situated in kemp town, 10 mins walk to town and 2 mins to the sea front. Rooms are clean and furnished well. Breakfast is fabulous. Sean is a wonderful, friendly owner. Highly recommend this hotel

This is a very nice hotel in Brighton. The owners have taken great care of this place and this is obvious in every corner of the hotel. The rooms are nicely decorated, clean and quiet. The breakfast is probably the best I've ever had at a hotel so far. I wouldn't definitely go back to this place and I highly recommend it to anyone.

We wanted a one night stay in Brighton as we had tickets to see Leonard Cohen in concert for my husband's 60th birthday treat. The whole place is very well decorated and the suite is comfortable and stylish. As the weather was good, we made full use of the balcony. Sean recommended the Ginger Dog pub/restaurant for supper, which is 5 minutes walk away in Kemp Town. An excellent choice. A late check out meant that we could relax the next morning. The White House is situated on the edge of Kemp Town - an area of Brighton we hadn't explored before and is 15 minutes walk from the Marina. Highly recommended.

Room Tip: The suite is the price of a smaller room at one of the hotels on the front and is really lovely.

The White House is a lovely place to say. Our room was lovely and the whole place is clean. The staff couldn't do enough for you, nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast lives up to all the reviews. I wouldn't normally have a cooked breakfast 2 days in a row but it's hard to say no to. I would definately stay here again if ever I visit Brighton.

Just had a lovely 2 night break in the first floor Suite with little balcony. Nice position near Kemptown. Lovely personal service from Shawn and Heidi his right-hand woman! Heidi found me an iced bottle holder to put on my sore ankle.
Pack your ear plugs as the room above may flush the toilet six times between 2 - 6 am!! The pump kicks in for about 10 seconds. You may not have this experience and be a heavy sleeper.
Overall a lovely break with the personal touch.
