High up and happy

Review of Brighton House
5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 19 Feb 2017
Ok my room was small but so am I! I knew it was three flights of stairs up with no lift but kind staff carried my case and went at my pace. The bedding was pristine and the bed extremely comfortable. Warm and snug for three nights.
Lots of choice from the buffet but the homemade yoghurt and perfectly boiled eggs were divine. And if you were peckish in the day, you could snack on the organic cupcakes under the glass dome in the hallway.
The staff were so welcoming and couldn't have been more helpful.
A word of caution - beware of the rugs in the dining room.
Would I stay there again? - Of course I would. Real value for money.

Lovely B&B within sight of the Brighton seafront. Bedroom with en suite was immaculate and very comfortable. although was situated on the 3rd floor which would not suit everyone especially with the narrow staircases used to access it. Very good continental, buffet-style breakfast in the morning with fresh bread, croissants, meat, fruit, etc. Staff were both friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend this place and will be returning on my next visit.

Room tip: No lift to higher floors

I am still staying at this B & B. This is my fourth week here (in Brighton on work related matters). I have stayed in 3 different rooms. All are clean and spacious. The breakfast is excellent (I am a fussy vegan), the price is good and the location is extremely convenient - it's close to the Pier and the 360 is just metres away. The staff are very helpful.

I guess I have stayed here during the dull and boring low season but it has been a pleasure to be in this B & B. I will certainly come back with my wife & daughter.

Room tip: Room 36, with balcony and high ceiling.

Centrally located . Faultless staff , nice rooms and one of the best continental breakfasts I've had . The choice for breakfast was smoked salmon , meats, cheeses wide variety of cereals and fruit. A nice healthy alternative . Oh and great coffee ;-)

Booked single room at a good rate.

Location is quiet and not far to centre if you use some cut throughs.

Room was on top floor and stairs could be an issue.Room was clean but very small. Some mould on silicon in shower so just like home!

I slept well and the breakfast was good.

If you are fit and do not have much luggage then this room for s single traveller for a short stay is very good.I definitely would come back.

It is a shame that we never got to meet the famous house cat, Mr Watson as based upon our two night stay he must have had a wonderful time. Right from the start the Brighton House makes a good impression. We were enthusiastically welcomed at reception and made to feel very welcome throughout our stay. Our room was right at the top of the house, up a windy staircase and although small, it was perfectly comfortable. It also had a wide selection of teas and coffee which were much appreciated. The highlight of our stay however was the food. My wife absolutely loved the Continental breakfast, complete with Prosecco if you desired and the quality of the meat, cheese and fish was very high. One of the staff was also responsible for baking two of the best complimentary cakes that I have ever tasted. These were left (covered) in the corridor and I must admit that I helped myself to a slice on both days. A really lovely stay.
