Our first impression of this little hotel was the sign, elegant just like the interior. We were greeted by Terry who gave us a map and pointed out places of interest and recommended restaurants for lunch and dinner. Our room was at the back of the property, was a good size with a shower room and toilet en-suite. It was very comfortable, spotlessly clean. We had a flat screen tv and tea and coffee making facilities via a senseo coffee machine, I had hot chocolate each night which was lovely. There was attention to detail, robes in the wardrobe, bottles of water each day and kit kat chocolates. The breakfasts were lovely a buffet bar wiith fresh fruit salad, breakfast cereals and croissants. The highlight were the hot breakfast all cooked to order, with really good quality ingredients, my husband had the full english breakfast which he really enjoyed and I had the bagel with smoked salmon with scrambled egg (this was cooked to perfection). The beach was very close a 1 min walk. All the main attractions were within close proximity, five minutes to Brighton Pier and ten minute walk to The Lanes and the Pavilion. This was a great value hotel at a good price. We were very lucky driving into a parking space as we arrived. Parking seems to be quite limited in Brighton. Once you have parked everything is within walking distance. I would definitely stay at this hotel if I returned to Brighton and would recommend it to anyone visiting.

Thank you for making our stay comfortable. Terry was extrememly welcoming and accomodating, and helped us find somewhere local to park and eat. We stayed in the twin room downstairs which was nicely decorated and equipped. The bathroom was on the small side, but clean and modern. The breakfast room was lovely and the food was well presented. Thanks again for a good overnight's stay.

We stayed at Grey's for Valentine's day. I booked the suite on the top floor, it's truly beautiful, fantastic huge king size bed, comfortable even for a 6 ft 8 in person. Although located in a side street sea view is amazing! Service had this unique personal touch and was just excellent. We missed breakfast on the first of two mornings, but had we known what we know now, we certainly would have made our way to the souterrain breakfast room! Unfortunately my car got vandalised and I found out on our departure day. So we couldn't leave straight away but we were still very welcome at Grey's, made several phone calls for free, and even got tea and biscuits served at no extra cost! You just know the moment you arrive at Grey's there are still people who genuinely care! Next time we're on Brighton it will be Grey's again! Thank you for making our time unforgettable and apologies for the late review!

We arrived after a short taxi from the station. Jamie was there to greet us, show us to our room, provide us with a map of the area and made suggestions as where to eat, where the parade started, where the street partty etc was. The room was lovely - really comfy beds, hot shower - flat screen tv with dvd player - tea coffee making facilities and added touches such as a kitkat (which I forgot to eat !!) and an electric fan (not that we needed it !). The breakfast room was beautiful and serene and the service was excellent and breakfast was fantastic - with cereals, freshly chooped fruit, croissants and pan au chocolat, selection of preserves etc and then I chose the salmon and scrambled eggs both mornings and my friend had the full english and they were both delicious.
The hotel itself is in a good area - far enough away from the town centre so as to be peaceful but close enough to walk in to the centre, either along the seafront or down a busy street lined with pubs/restaurants/cafes and shops.
I can`t think of any negatives staying here - parking may be a problem, but where isn`t these days ?? I would thoroughly recommend this hotel and will return - soon !!

Myself and my partner stayed here for Brighton pride. We got a very warm welcome and were given lots of advice on where to go and what to do. Our room very spacious, very clean, and comfortable. We had everything we needed. The breakfast was fantastic, all very fresh and good quality. The guys could not have made our stay any better. Great location, very close to everything especially the seafront. We've stayed in many hotels and this one is definitely our favorite. We look foward to staying here again.

When visiting Brighton for a wedding we were overwhelmed with the range of places to stay but picking from the top ten B+B we chose Grey's Hotel. We stayed in Room 4 with it's fabulous 4 poster bed and grey / brown decor. The plush grey carpet underfoot was a treat and the room was spacious with a mirrored wardrobe with ample storage and a small en suite shower room stocked with mini toiletries from The White Company. (No face cloth provided so if you like to scrub yourself clean bring something along).

The bed was incredibly comfortable with lovely bedding! The lovely, heavy curtains sadly didn't wrap around the windows which meant the morning sun did wake me up (this would be my only gripe). The area isn't too noisy though - unlike other more central parts of Brighton so the sleep quality during the night time is at least good. :)

I enjoyed the coffee maker and selection of tea, coffee, chocolate and biscuits! And bottled water is supplied in the room too in a mini fridge which is handy for when you set off to shop in The Lanes!

The room was very warm when we stayed but opening the sash windows gave a nice breeze and the room soon cooled!

The best bit (after the bed!) was the breakfast - the smoked salmon and scrambled eggs was delicious as was the freshly made fruit salad and compote! A nice range of food available both hot and cold with juices, coffee, teas and served by the lovely Jamie.

Really glad we chose to stay here as we enjoyed wandering round Kemp Town and found the B+B both restful and comfy. :) There are lovely coffee shops and restaurant close by, the (windy!) seaside is just at the bottom of the road and town is just 10-15 minutes walk away.
