Fantastic little B&B in a perfect location - just a short walk to the centre but far enough away for peace and quiet at night. We were looked after extremely well by our hosts, and offered tips of places to look up on our travels. Our room was lovely, small but perfectly formed. The breakfasts were amazing too!

I used this site as a guide for somewhere to stay and was very pleased with the result. The hotel is a converted town house, well decorated with nice design details in the rooms. its position in the town makes everthing easy to walk to and it is set in a one way street so it is very quiet both for front and back facing rooms. For parking, get a voucher at the hotel which allows you on street parking for periods of 24 hours.Breakfasts are vey good being cooked to order, promptly, and set in a rather lovely room. i stayed in a double room but the one with the four poster looked wonderful, so next time...Highly recommended

From the initial friendly welcome and the fact the prices werent hiked up for festival weekend I could tell this place was going to live up to previous reviews. The deep pile clean carpets and fresh flowers add a luxury touch. Bedroom was spotless clean and bed very comfortable. Not surprising as covered in egyptian white linen. Soft towels - a first for a B&B and superb breakfast just added to my satisfaction. Along with added facilities such as DVD player and fan it really was home from home. I will always make this my first choice when in Brighton. Dont miss out and stay somewhere basic that charges the same with far less luxury.

My husband & I recently celebrated our first wedding anniversary and rather than having a party or going abroad, we decided to have a few days away in Brighton which we love. My husband actually booked the hotel as a last minute find and we were not disappointed at all. The owner and staff are so friendly and helpful, the room, in fact the hotel itself, is so clean, beautifully decorated throughout and the breakfast room is something of an oasis; the breakfast choice is excellent and varied. The hotel is located in a perfect position for the beach, James Street and a leisurely stroll along the front to the city centre.

Realising it was our anniversary, we returned to our room one evening, to find as a gift from Terry the owner, a lovely bottle of champagne on ice. Needless to say after a few glasses and chocolates, the sumptuous bed gave way to a beautiful night' s rest. When not staying with family in Brighton Grey's will definitely be our choice of hotel from now on.

Bernadette & Michael August 2009.

Such a warm welcome, nothing too much trouble, and the most comfortable bed I've ever stayed in! Will definately be going back - who needs a big hotel chain?! The personal touch is such a treat, as is the breakfast. Didn't want to leave, it will be my new home from home. This place is a real hidden gem!
