What an excellent hotel, immaculately clean, we were very well looked after by Jamie who upgreded us to a lovely large room, there was a fridge with bottled water, dvd player, lovely white towels and dressing gowns, everything we could want, Jamie was very helpfull with restaurants and places to go. The breakfast was the best we have ever had, so many different things to choose from, my partner thought the sausages were the tastiest he had ever eaten and my favourite was the eggs benedict , you could eat enough to last you all day. We will definetly be returning there next year and recommending it to our friends. Thanks for making our stay so enjoyable.

We stayed at Grey's over the weekend of 9th-11th April for my Open University graduation ceremony at the Brighton Globe. Even though we are city folks ourselves, when we get away we like to stay somewhere a bit quieter slightly away from the hustle and bustle, but close enough so that you are able to access everything.

Grey's fits the bill perfectly - it took us about 10 minutes to walk along the front to the pier and then another 5-10 minutes into the South Laines, or along the top road through Kemp Town and past the local shops to a point slightly north of there and then across the green to the Laines.

The four poster bed in our room was really comfy, the rooms were decorated very tastefully and as for the food - well, next time I'll make sure I have time for the full breakfast on both days. I had to be down for the graduation at 8.30 so Terry kindly left us out the cereals and some cheese and ham to do a continental breakfast on Saturday but Sunday's full English breakfast was the best I've had in years.

Although the hotel was full we never heard a peek from anyone else and only saw them in the breakfast room so despite it being an old building the hotel is very well soundproofed.

Only teeny negative was that it took about 10 minutes to get hot water for the shower sometimes but once it got going it was great.

Would definitely stay there again if I needed to stay in Brighton.

Stayed two nights with my husband,we were upgraded to a larger room and although right at the top of the house the room was well worth the climb.Extremely welcoming on arrival and nothing appeared to be too much trouble. The bed was wonderfully comfortable and the only reason to get out of it was the excellent breakfast waiting for us downstairs. This hotel is clearly run with the guests comfort in mind as every little detail has been thought of,it certainly will be one we will return to.

Everything we read beforehand on trip advisor was spot on..The room was a nice size so you didnt feel at all cramped up and the breakfast....oh my what cant i say about the breakfast except i wish i could look forward to that standard of breakfast every day excellent.excellent excellent!!! We would certainly go back to Greys again , all we can say is thank you Terry for making us feel so welcome.

We were upgraded to a superior room which was large with pleasant decor. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was great - lots to choose from.
All parts of the Hotel were fresh and very clean - it was evident that attention is paid to detail. Would definitely return.

We quickly found the hotel after an easy 25 minute walk from the Brighton Rail Station (via the Brighton pier and sea front) and were immeditaly impressed with the welcoming exterior appearance.

After a friendly perosnal greeting we were quickly shown to our room (Room 4), told about the hotel ammenities and advised about local restaurants. The room was spacious and bed was instantly very inviting, as were the sneaked views of the sea down the street. The hotel was full, yet we didn't hear noise from any other guests.

The bathroom (shower) was adequete, although could have been a little larger and in the evening had a few minute wait for hot water to come through.

A very generous breakfast (fruit, toast, cereal, croissants and cooked are all available) was well received along with a supply of tea, coffee and juice. The staff where all very friendly and helpful.

This small b&b was lovely. we went over easter and stayed for two nights, everything was perfect. the breakfast offered everything and we stuffed ourselves until lunch! they even gave us chocolate bunnies on easter monday which was a lovely touch. The two men owning the place couldnt do anything more for us. they even have a dvd collection adn a dvd player in the room! the bathrooms are very petite but perfect for our short stay.
