This was a return visit to this conveniently located hotel near the Brighton sea front. As always you receive a warm welcome and our room had a great view of the garden in the square and the sea. The room is clean and warmly furnished with the Strawberry theme carried through out the hotel into the room. Breakfast is served in your room and I would recommend the smoked salmon bagels as a great way to kick off the day. It is easy to walk from the hotel either down to the sea and pier or into the main shopping streets of Brighton.

We shall return !!

We had a relaxed and enjoyable stay by the seaside on one of the rare good weather week ends. Great location so we could walk everywhere. Friendly and helpful staff and bright and clean rooms. Breakfast delivered to the rooms was a novelty - and saved getting up - and there are plenty of nearby cafes if you want something more substantial, as one of us did, although the smoked salmon bagel was fine for me. Good value for money.

My partner and I really enjoyed staying in this hotel.

The location - excellent, just a few minutes walk from the old part of town, 2 minutes down to the sea.
The hospitality - very helpful with giving advice and directions.
The price – not too bad looking at the prices in Brighton.
The room – really lovely, clean with fresh linen and towels.

The building is very old and it's almost like you are travelled back in time, but with excellent atmosphere. Overall very clean, good and friendly service - it is not the most luxurious B&B in the world by any means, but if you want to stay somewhere close to the centre and sea, you won't go far wrong with the Strawberries.

I had a nice room with a side view of the sea and its own bathroom, the rooms were fresh and clean and in good condition though its fair to say the hallways need updating though the fresh flowers add a nice touch.

Breakfast arrived bang on time and it was a nice change not to have to schlep down to a noisy dining room with a radio blaring away.

All together good value and we'll book here again when we next visit Brighton.

Looked at the website and hotel looked fantastic. Shocked to say the least when we actually got there. Hotel was grubby, breakfast was nothing short of something you would buy from a roadside truck. Wouldn't go back.

I Was Very Disappointed To Find Out On Arrival That There Was No Refrigerator Inside The Room.
There Was Only BBC1 to Channel4 Working + I Could Hardly See The Channels As They Weren't Clear Only Channel4 Was Clear. There Was No Phone In The Room So i Had To Walk To Reception When Ever I Needed Something.
In The Toliet There Was No Blow Dryer Provided.
The Receptionist Desk Was Closed 10pm Nightly.
And On The Bank Holiday Monday After Breakfast The Receptionist Desk Was Closed All Day + Night.
Incase Of An Emergency You'd Have To Press The Bell Buzz Next Door And The Owner Would Come Round.

The Staffs Were Very Friendly And Helpful.
The Place Was Peaceful, Apart From The Odd Vehicles That Passes On The Little Street Behind The B&B And The Rubish Collectors In The Mornings. Oh Yeah And The Noisy Seagulls Day And Night (But that's brighton for you as the B&B wasn't far from the seafront)

Some other reviewers have said the website for the Strawberry Fields is misleading, and I would have to agree. It is also overpriced for what it is - but despite that, it was still the cheapest we could find in Brighton for my boyfriend and I's one night stay at short notice. The rooms need updating - a lick of paint and the carpets replacing and maybe some new furniture.

We enjoyed our stay. The staff are really friendly and helpful. The room was quite tired-looking but clean, the bed was really comfortable. The bathroom was also clean and everything was in full working order. The bacon rolls delivered to our room the next morning was a very welcome hang over cure!

The location of the place makes up for any shortfalls - it's situated in a beautiful Georgian square that is just opposite the beach. I would stay here again as I think going to an old-style B&B is part of the Brighton experience, I don't really see the point of spending loads of cash on a proper hotel when you're not going to be spending much time there.
