Booked late, hotel staff had 5 hours to prepare the suite with the extra's that I'd ordered for a Birthday. On arrival we were welcomed and taken to our suite where everything was perfect, birthday cake, balloons, champagne, strawberrys etc etc. The staff can't do enough for you and couldn't be nicer. The suite is perfect, stylish, chic, immaculately clean and everything is at hand. The cocktail bar and lounge is stunning, service is second to none and the cocktails are equally good. The hotel is 2 minutes from the sea and the main shopping and eating areas. On booking pictures of your exact suite on on the website so you know exactly what your getting. There's no on street parking but there's a loading bay for when you arrive and leave and the car park is literally across the road. Can't praise this hotel high enough, would love to stay but gotta go home :-( will defo come back though!!

Stunning in every way! We were lucky enough to experience the beautiful light and airy DANUBE room. Don't worry about cleanliness - everything IMPECCABLE. And, as if this wasn't enough, the STAFF go above and beyond in their efforts to help out - if you need a good restaurant, just ask! Our only regret is not to have tried out the bar which, apparently, serves, the most delectable cocktails in a wonderful cosy setting. If you're in a quandary about booking ..... DON'T HESITATE!!! Oh and almost forgot ...... breakfast EXCELLENT!

Room Tip: I would book Danube again in an instant!

Stayed 2 nights in 'wista', very nice, modern, clean and comfortable. Parking easy with nearby parking lot. Very nice breakfasts, choose to have them in the dining room but were available as rom service also. Lovely bar for a pre-dinner drink. Ordered a bottle of Sancerre and the waiter vacuum sealed it so that we could continue with the same bottle the next evening. Will be back for our next visit.

After several years of staying in Brighton working our way through the big chains (Hilton, Thistle, Hotel Du Vin) we decided to go for a change and pick something a little more niche. Having seen all the positive reviews on TA we opted for Hotel Una. Staying mid week we pre-booked one of the large doubles, Flores, but on arrival had a pleasant surprise being advised that due to a maintenance issue we had been upgraded (Santana, a luxury room) First impressions from the staff were great, very warm welcome and nice to be shown up to the room also. Room was great, large bathroom, separate lounge and large screen tv & huge leather sofa, then bedroom area with large glass walk in shower which was a great treat. Wife had one of the best Pimm's she'd had in the bar in the evening & barman was very friendly and chatty. Good sleep, being an old building no air con so slept with the windows open, black out blinds did a great job just a shame they didn't deaden the sound of the various dust carts which were doing the rounds in the back streets behind our room.
Good choice of cooked breakfasts in the breakfast room the following morning together with cereals, pastries and juices (Also had option to breakfast in your room) Again staff very friendly and attentive, particularly the receptionist who was on shift throughout our stay.
Yes the rooms are individual & quirky and may not be everybody's idea of boutique chic, but if you fancy a change from the corporate monotony of some of the designer or business chains then I would definitely recommend Hotel Una for a relaxing & friendly treat.

Cosy and comfortable boutique hotel which is ideally located to the centre of Brighton (only a few minutes walk to the Grand). The staff were really nice, offering to fetch my case from the car on arrival and we were always met with a smile. We had the Vedea room at the very top of the hotel, which although small was cleverly set out to maxmise the space. Each of the rooms has an individual style - ours had a great feature wall of exposed brickwork, and the shower-room was decked out in sleek black tiles and chrome. Be warned though, if you are a little prudish this might not be the room for you - you can shower in full view of the bedroom!

Bed quality excellent, as were the White Company complimentary toiletries.

Breakfast - as well as pastries, cereal and fruit on offer there was a small menu offering a freshly prepared hot breakfast of porridge, full english and the like. A nice change from the hot breakfast buffet offered in other hotels.

This hotel looks like it has stepped straight out of a stylish home and living magazine, but it is matched with warm hospitality from the staff. Can't wait for the opportunity to go back and take one of the bigger rooms with whirlpool bath etc!

In a quick trip to Brighton and Portsmouth before commencing work in the UK for the summer, I had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Una. I stayed in the Usk room -- important to know, because all of the rooms are so different. The room was perfect -- just as advertised on the Web site, with a decent view of the square and the sea, as well as a lot of space. The bedroom itself was quite small, but the sitting room (which also had a very large tub and a smaller shower) was spacious, with great lighting and furniture. My only small complaint would be the bathroom (toilet) itself, as the set-up and placement of shelves, etc., did not allow for any maneuvering around the sink (washing my face was quite difficult!). The service was extraordinary (ALL staff were wonderfully friendly and quite accommodating), and the breakfast was delicious.

My only word of warning would be what some other reviewers have mentioned: the old building and wood floors make for some potentially noisy experiences. Usk room is on the top floor, and the bedroom does not abut any other room, so for me, this was not a problem. However, I could definitely see the validity of some of the other noise complaints in other reviews. That said, this is a charming boutique hotel within walking distance of nearly everything -- well worth the cost, for me.

Room Tip: I loved the Usk room -- top floor, and facing the square.

We stayed for a night mid week for my husband's birthday. It was our first night away without kids since our first arrived four years ago, so I had booked Belise and a champagne package for extra luxury. It was stunning- we didn't want to leave the room, as the amazing whirlpool and sauna and great drinks and comfy sofas and terrific bed and lots of good DVDs on offer meant we could properly re-connect and relax and just have a fab time. Wonderful breakfast served in the room, with more champagne. A really special place, and we loved it.
