“Delightful hotel”

A wonderful hotel, the staff are warm welcoming, and the rooms are unique and have everything you need to make your stay enjoyable. In our room the decor was a bit mismatching, but it was all of a high quality and didn't take anything away from the luxury and cosiness of the room. Breakfast was delicious and we ordered it to come to our room. It pricey, but I'd happily cough up the money to stay here again.

This hotel must be on the list for anyone wishing to stay in central Brighton (at a hotel which has no spa or restaurant on the premises).

Because every room is different, and with unique designer styling, some time is needed to select the one which will match your individual preferences - we visited before booking, and so were able to inspect many rooms before making a choice.

And, added to the most helpful staff, we were able to gather with some friends in the bar and enjoy a celebratory drink before walking to the super restaurant ("Ginger Man"), which they had booked for us.

Clean, well-appointed (though a tad over-furnished for our taste) and with a good bar and breakfast room, this hotel is a gem in a town where central beds are surprisingly few.

And we escaped the adjacent underground car park free after a week's stay, due to a machine fault - wonderful!

Room Tip: Study the brochure with care, remembering that every room/suite is different from the others!

Wow fab boutique hotel with the most friendliest of staff l have met. Nothing is too much trouble, late night snack, drinks in the bar, cocktails, happy staff who appear to enjoy talking to the guests without being over bearing. The rooms are all unique in their decor and layout. The bed and breakfast rate includes breakfast in bed. The artwork and ornaments around this place makes it feel like home are beautiful. There s also a great film library you can borrow from. The rooms are so well laid out you actually look forward to coming back on your room. We need not have a good view from our room but as it is in the Regency Square and this is Brighton by the time you get home at night it is lovely and peaceful. Hope to stay again, a hidden gem.

Room Tip: Difficult you will understand when you look at the website, as the rooms are all unique in their dec...

This was our fourth stay at the Hotel Una and I can only add to the glowing reviews of others. We've tried a different room each time and they have all been smart, very clean and comfortable. Their small doubles certainly are "snug", but fine for 1-2 nights. The superior doubles and suites are a real treat. The hotel location is perfect, close to the centre and seafront, but in a quiet and pretty square.

However, I don't think location and room quality alone are the reasons so many rapturous reviews, or repeat visits. What really makes it stand apart is the quality of service, which is never, in our experience, less than helpful and friendly.

Our first stay was 3 nights in Maja (a small double), but the hotel happened not to be too busy on our final Sunday night so they offered to move us into a bigger room. This time, the scheduled breakfast slot started too late for those running the half marathon, so they started earlier, offering porridge, cereal and toast. When I finished the race, ravenous, they offered a sandwich (and then delivered more than that). They have pointed us towards several great restaurants (Blenio bistro and Cote being just two).

These are just a few examples from our various visits. They genuinely seem to care that you have as nice a stay as possible, and that makes such a refreshing change from so many other hotels.

Room Tip: Maja is small but OK for a short stay. Usk has a great living area but the bedroom is a little cramp...

Everything you would hope for in an independent hotel.

The hotel staff were amazing and couldn't have been more helpful, our room (Belize) was perfect, we could have happily spent the whole weekend in there! Massive bath and sauna, comfortable bed and lounge area.

Stylish, comfortable and the hotel bar makes a mean cocktail. We are already planning our next visit! Highly recommended.

Room Tip: Belize was amazing, massive bath and Jacuzzi!
