“Lovely hotel, great staff and rooms”
Reviewed 7 March 2014

Stayed here 19/21 February in the top floor Vedea room.
Loved the hotel, it is in a good location in a lovely square just a few minutes walk from the Lanes or the shopping centre.
The staff took our bag when we arrived too early to check in, and it was in our room when we moved in. The lady on the front desk was also very helpful in how to access the car park which is underneath the square.
The staff were really lovely - all of them - helpful, always ready to supply useful information.
Breakfasts were "to die for" (as they say) - just perfect.
Room (V) was a little small (which we knew from booking) but with a very comfortable bed and chairs. Bathroom very good indeed.

We stayed fri28th -sat 1st, it was a birthday treat and my girlfriend got it spot on. We arrived with a warm welcome, lots of advice what to do etc. such a central hotel easy access for everything you would need- the lanes restaurant and bars etc.
The only criticism I would have with our room which is not a big one but our bath had a few chips in it, and I recommended to the staff to re-enamel it or get a new one as was around £200 for the night and didn't get to use the tv whilst in the bath. The Gaula room was light spacious and beautiful with really high ceilings. I haven't hesitated recommending to friends and family.

Just returned from a wonderful two night stay in the Usk room. The staff at the hotel are so friendly, helpful and welcoming and there is a real feeling of warmth about the place. Everything is very stylish and beautifully finished. Breakfast top notch (and in bed too, what a treat!) Usk was perfect for us, cosy and romantic. Great living space, with a bath big enough for two - fabulous If you would be bothered by having to squeeze around the bed which only just fits in the bedroom and the tiny toilet, then pick another room. But we didn't care about that at all and loved the room just as it was. The bed, especially the pillows, was supremely comfortable. Great unusual cocktails in the bar (or in your room they're happy to bring them up) Perfect location in easy reach of all that Brighton has to offer. Secure car park on the doorstep. You really can't go wrong!

Room Tip: Usk is gorgeous room, we loved it - only minor issue is having to squeeze around the bed, we weren...

Close to the Lanes and virtually on the sea front, this hotel is beautifully decorated, and the staff are lovely. We were really pleased with our stay and would happily go there again. Our room was quite small but it didn't feel cramped, and there was more than enough room for our stuff. There was cupboard space if you needed it. The public areas were extremely welcoming, which you don't necessarily find in small hotels. Great place.

From the moment we arrived we were impressed with this hotel. Yes the rooms and furnishings are so tastefully done and show a real flair for design. What we really liked however were the staff who were absolutely first class - friendly, helpful, courteous but never overbearing. We felt that nothing was too much trouble - we only had to ask. We will definitely be staying there again.

Room Tip: The rooms are named after rivers of the world. We stayed in Orinoco - which was just fabulous (with...
