I have spent 3 nights at Hotel una and wish i could have stayed for a few more weeks!!!
I stayed in room Eden which was stunning. a mixture of modern and classical features. You can see there was an attention to detail and the balance was achieved successfully.
the view from the balcony was beautiful. ther was a floor to ceiling sash window with original shutters.
The staff is fantastic. very attentive and professional. but not in a over bearing manner. Alwys on hand to give suggestions.
the bar was well tended and the cocktails are to die for.
the breakfast menu and buffet was varied and succulent.
the location of the hotel is ideal for all the local attractions and the station is only 15 minutes away on foot.
I will definately return.

I had a front facing room which was noisy and cold. the shower was in the bath which was in the corner of the room and leaked all over the floor. the room service took an age to arrive and there was no parking. very disappointing and definitely will not be going back.

We stayed during peak summer and paid peak summer rates. This hotel is fashionable with friendly staff and a very very helpful and professional manager. We had a larger room which wasn't large so I'm glad we paid extra as a normal room may be too small.

The furnishings were modern and fashionable and the location is excellent. The staff were really friendly and helpful.

The only downside was the alarm went off twice in the night - when we complained in the morning, the receptionist said it always happens as it is so sensitive (as if its a good thing - though I would have prefered the sleep!).

This hotel is much better than average in Brighton though you are paying 4/ 5 star prices for what is essentially a lovely bed and breakfast. The breakfast by the way was cold - but we did have room service and from my experience its always better to have breakfast in the restaurant for this reason - even in really good places.

Hotel Una is a top experience all around - we can't recommend it more highly. It is discreet in a way that is now uncommon in a flashy world (not that this was important). The staff were generous, friendly and helpful. The immediate atmosphere is trendy but relaxed. The design is fantastic. Lots of wood and original features mixed with top class contemporary design. One never feels like Damian Hirst or Conran vomitted in the place, yet it isn't twee either. Little touches like electrical sockets hidden in floor boards and glass walls to increase the sense of space and light show that someone really had an eye for detail. All of the lighting is very well thought through, too with innovative lamps. Most of it is indirect and soft, again resulting in a relaxing and beautiful sense of space. Beds and furniture is funky but very comfortable. But it isn't just about style. The staff, across the board, were brilliant, helpful, insightful and cooperative. They always asked what we did and if they could help with recommendations. The bartender made delicious cocktails and was very professional. The one weak point is the breakfast. It wasn't great and certainly didn't live up to the standards of the rest of the weekend. Our advice would be for them to get rid of the complementary breakfast and charge for something of quality to match the rest of the hotel. We hope to be back soon as this is the kind of place we could settle into.

We just stayed two nights here with two friends and they could not have done more for us. They literally bent over backwards for us. We kept them up until 2.00 a.m in the bar playing cards and they really made us feel welcome and valued! I cannot recommend them more highly - we are going back!!

I liked this hotel a lot. It has a nice ambiance - I particularly enjoyed the bar. They serve an excellent breakfast and the staff were very attentive and helpful. The location is perfect, slightly away from the centre on a magnificent Regency Square within a stone's throw of the beach and it's still only a short walk to all the main attractions.

Parking is easy with an NCP across the road but it is expensive at £12.50 overnight and more if you leave your car longer. The room was just about OK but was a bit shabby, with the bathroom particularly needing some attention - poor view too but I guess not every room can look over the square.

Still overall I was pretty happy and will stay again when next in town

I stayed at Hotel Una for two nights with my husband as we were visiting his family nearby.

We were in the suite called Wista which had a bedroom (very comfy bed), large living area and bathroom wth seperate shower cubicle. The suite was fitted out with all mod cons - air con, tea and coffee making facilities, two TVs and a DVD player. There is a good selection of DVDs at the hotel reception.

The bar at the hotel has a great drinks menu and as we didn't try any of the bar food I can't comment on that. I can however comment on the two fantastic breakfasts that we got delivered to our suite on both mornings. We love being able to have a lazy breakfast and there was no extra charge for room service and it included a huge choice of cooked items with some great fresh coffee.

The hotel is ideally located for exploring Brighton and we were able to walk the ten minutes up and down to the train station.

The reason we chose this hotel was largely due to it being No. 1 on tripadvisor and we were not disappointed.

The staff were very helpful and welcoming. My only tiny complaint would be that sometimes they were just a little overly so. My husband used to live in Brighton so obviously knows it very well and we didn't need directions or recommendations even though they asked us if we did everytime we either came in or out. I'm sure that this would have been fine had we been total strangers to the area.

We found a great little Indian cafe called the Chilli Pickle which is situated in the Lanes and we got a Thali and a pint for £10.

Brighton is a great place for a weekend break - it has it all - nightlife, shops, culture and the seafront.

I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel.
