Description: Curry Leaf Cafe serves up award-winning South Indian street food, expertly spiced curries and a wide range of international craft beers from a relaxed, colourful dining space in the heart of Brighton's bustling Lanes. Its range of quick and healthy lunches include soups, warm salads, dosas and open tandoor naan wraps, as well as traditional thali platters. The dinner menu, meanwhile, focuses on crisp, fresh-tasting street food and fragrant curries, rounded off with a selection of refreshing Indian desserts and infused ice creams. The ingredients used are seasonal and locally sourced where possible, and around half the menu is vegetarian. A wide selection of vegan, gluten- and dairy-free dishes is also offered, along with home delivery seven days a week via our partner Deliveroo. Curry Leaf Cafe was named a 'Local Gem' in the 2016, 2017 & 2018 editions of the Waitrose Good Food Guide and won 'Best Newcomer, South Coast' at the 2015 Asian Curry Awards.

This is an Indian like no other, food is freshly cooked, light and absolutely delicious. Even the puddings are freshly made (non of the frozen bought in rubbish usually on Indian menus). If you are nearby GO GO GO

A friend and I went for dinner late one Monday evening and were welcomed warmly to this intimate yet modern establishment. Although the restaurant was fairly busy, we were served promptly and never felt like we were waiting. The food was lovely - each flavour stood out and it was clear that the chef and owner take pride in their food. The menu is not what you find in the typical British Indian restaurant - a refreshing change. This was a lovely and surprising find that I will definitely be returning to!!

Checked this place out with friends recently for an evening meal and had a few reservations with the word "cafe" in the title. I need not had worried. Restaurant was full with a great atmosphere. Pleasant surroundings with great service. Food was second to none. Not your usual curry experience..... far better. Also a good selection of beers and fine wine. Would recommend but well worth booking to secure a table.

This is a great little restaurant specialising in street food from Southern India.
Different to any other Indian restaurant I have been to. You will find carefully prepared dishes that you will not find on other menus. Very well presented food, tastes delicious and also had to have a desert as once again so unusual and tempting. The staff are excellent and really care that you enjoy your food, wine and experience.
Great evening out at an informal restaurant . Also love the fact that they import teas from small farms in India. Wonderful range of teas and Indian wine!

We found this cafe on tripadvisor. We managed to book a table for Saturday night which was lucky as it was busy. So book ahead. It was our wedding anniversary and we are glad we chose a place with a great atmosphere and staff that were very attentive and friendly. They obviously took pride in the food and took the time to explain all the dishes and pickles. The manager is lovely and we felt very special. The menu selection is not huge which is often a great sign that dishes are cooked with care. The wine list is small but carefully selected and reasonably priced. The food is so flavoursome that I actually think I won't be able to go for any other curry without it comparing poorly to this place now. We had to ask them to check the bill as we couldn't believe that we had paid so little for such a wonderful meal. If only we lived in Brighton
