Description: Curry Leaf Cafe serves up award-winning South Indian street food, expertly spiced curries and a wide range of international craft beers from a relaxed, colourful dining space in the heart of Brighton's bustling Lanes. Its range of quick and healthy lunches include soups, warm salads, dosas and open tandoor naan wraps, as well as traditional thali platters. The dinner menu, meanwhile, focuses on crisp, fresh-tasting street food and fragrant curries, rounded off with a selection of refreshing Indian desserts and infused ice creams. The ingredients used are seasonal and locally sourced where possible, and around half the menu is vegetarian. A wide selection of vegan, gluten- and dairy-free dishes is also offered, along with home delivery seven days a week via our partner Deliveroo. Curry Leaf Cafe was named a 'Local Gem' in the 2016, 2017 & 2018 editions of the Waitrose Good Food Guide and won 'Best Newcomer, South Coast' at the 2015 Asian Curry Awards.

Went there on a recommendation. Well worth the visit. Central location. Friendly staff. My food was lovely, my husbands main course was very tasty but didn't have any spice flavour at all (so it tasted like a lovely casserole). I've returned since & again the food was great & the staff very helpful.

... Great service, space and 'vibe' - despite going solo on a Monday lunch I was very pleased.

Really like the concept of matching two English 'faves' of beer and 'curry' in an accommodating setting with great tunes; selection of beer was impressive, as is the Manager's knowledge of why this is the case.

Need to revisit with a group to really try the menu, I felt the Meat Thali was somewhat lacking on the 'meat'.

Bar this, ticks all the other boxes; especially the service and the way the Manager greeted returning customers!

We chose to visit here on a Saturday lunch time after seeing the reviews on here. We were not disappointed. Lovely welcome and great atmosphere as we entered. We really love indian food and loved the fact they had thalis. We both chose the meat thali the flavours were gorgeous and very filling all for £10. I cannot recommend this place enough and will definitely return.

Four of us went quite early in the evening, mid week, which was lucky as all that came after had to be turned away without reservations. We were in for a treat: the starters, all delicious and exquisitely prepared. The curry mains (we had the chicken and the lamb) were to die for and flavoured to absolute perfection. The extensive beers offered made for a perfect dinner. Staff were friendly and attentive and I would come back to Brighton just to eat here again!!

We went here for an evening meal after a two day trip in Brighton and it was the perfect end to our time here.
The food was absolutely superb, the service very friendly and the atmosphere was relaxed and upbeat. The restaurant thoroughly deserves it's reputation as the premier Indian restaurant and cafe in the area. The menu is small but excellently balanced, specialising in South Indian cuisine. I think the food on offer changes here regularly to keep the choices of dish new throughout the year. I also notice there was a vegan option in the mains and starters and at least two of the main courses were gluten-free.
We will definitely be eating her again on our next trip to Brighton and we'd strongly recommend it to anybody as a superb venue to eat for lunch or evening meal.
