“Great b&b”
Reviewed 30 June 2014 via mobile

Just back from spending 2 nights at the Amblecliff. It is a very homely B&B and spotlessly clean. Good comfortable beds and a very good breakfast. It is ideally situated in Brighton as it's only a brief walk to the pier and shops. We had a room at the front of the place that was a bit noisy at night with the buses but apart from that we had no complaints about anything else. I would highly recommend it.

My husband and I have just stayed at this very well located excellent b&b. The hosts were so welcoming and the room itself was very clean and well presented. The location was excellent with only a few minutes walk to the pier. And the hosts had a good knowledge of the locality and provided a wonderful full English breakfast to start the day after a very long night on the town. Will definitely be booking again for the whole family.

I stayed for 6 nights in the top, king double No9,room. The welcome was excellent from Terry and her husband. The room was very clean and well presented with tea and coffee facilities, large screen tv and a shower room.
Unfortunately the tv had poor reception on most channels and the complementary wifi was also poor in this room. As well as these minor problems its also good to note that the windows are single glazed and,as you overlooked a road used ny buses 24/7,this made for the room being very noisy and as there is no cooling fan in the room you haf to have your windows open anyway.
Breakfast was excellent with a lovely room and, once again,a very friendly feel.

Overall I found this B&B to be overpriced, £120pn,for the level of problems in the room.

My husband and I stayed here for two nights on a weekend during the Brighton Festival this May. Friendly hosts, delicious breakfasts, a comfortable room... it was great! The entire place was absolutely spotless, and its location within easy walking distance of all the best of Brighton was perfect. I highly recommend Amblecliff!

We followed advice on Tripadvisor and booked into the Amblecliff. The first and major problem is parking, you either book a daily permit through the hotel or take your chances with the ticket machines, we prebooked but it still doesn't guarantee you a place. We were reasonably lucky when we arrived as we were able to park within 50 yards of the hotel, but when we returned from visiting relatives we had to tour the block to find another space, which we did but each time it entailed a trek back to the hotel. Our room was bright, very clean and well decorated but it was cold. We didn't pursue this so we are a little to blame but I suppose cool weather wasn't expected in May in Brighton. The breakfasts were excellent and well presented and the tea was spot on. The shower was good but lacking non-slip flooring or mat and a light over the bathroom mirror would help wet shavers. Would we stop here again, doubtful due to the parking or lack of it.

We stayed for two nights early April and had a great experience at a good price. Lovely and very helpful owners even after we had left (I seriously appreciated having my watch sent back to me!).
I would happily return or recommend to anyone!

Very friendly hosts Terri & Andrew. Fantastic made our week a great B & B to stay in. Location is excellent and only a couple of minutes to walk to the beach and not much further into town. Service is great, Terri sorted out the parking for us straight away with passes at cost. The room was excellent 5 enough room to do what needed for a base. Breakfast set you up for the day very good.Thank you for a wonderful stay Andy Juliet............
