I stayed at number 14 last week and I didn't want to leave!! It was spectacular (even the mushrooms). I can't believe how friendly the owners were, how clean the rooms were, how we could help ourselves to drinks, how close it was to the town as well as the sea!! We all left smiling. Both Maggie and his partner are amazing characters and really make you feel welcome!! I just want to say I wouldn't want to stay anywhere else, who needs a 5 star hotel when you can have Brannings at number 14! I can't wait to go back :-)

Stayed: December 2013

We took over the B&B at the weekend for my brothers wedding and what a stay we had, from the beautiful rooms, breakfast and welcome, not one thing was bad. Terry with his delicious mushrooms the recipe please when you can, and Chis with his cheeky smile we are your number one fan. So helpful providing shoe polish and even superglue for my dress, without their help we would have been in quite a mess. Never when in Brighton will I ever stay anywhere else except here, they made the break a home from home and best stay in many a year, will recommend again and again for this great place to stay as it was brilliant and exceptional in every single way.

Room Tip: all rooms are brilliant

We stayed for 2 nights at this B&B in Brighton, and found it to be a lovely guest house. The owners, Chris and Terry, were very welcoming and friendly. The breakfast was amazing! The food is good quality and freshly cooked, with such a huge choice of food, I couldn't imagine there would be anything more they could offer! We would definitely stay again! The location is good as well - only 10 minutes walk to town centre, and very close to the beach. Thank you for a lovely stay!

We stayed for our first weekend in Brighton and was lucky enough to have booked in with Chris and Terry. They made us feel very welcome right from the start and were very informative about the area and what it had to offer, and by the time we were leaving we felt we'd known them forever. The room was spotlessly clean, airy and comfortable with good tea making facilities. Breakfast was delicious and plenty of it, with lots of other choices if the full English wasn't your cup of tea. We had a wonderful weekend and will most definitely stay there again. Rock on Chris and Terry.

Lots of mixed reviews on TA but this one was the most consistent so we chose this for two nights recently. Chris and Terry are great hosts ..... genuine, friendly, helpful but not intrusive. Room was clean and provided all that was needed including Tea & Coffee, TV and a window onto the street for a view and fresh air. Breakfast was generous and cooked to order. Suggestions for dinner and sightseeing very dependable. Like many in Brighton (and throughout the UK) this will mean a series of stairs but there is help with the bags when needed. Enjoy!

We had a very enjoyable weekend in Brighton, made better by staying at number 14. The location was excellent, breakfast amazing and hospitality first class.

Greeted at the door with a welcoming smile and suggestions on what to see.

Room Tip: Only seen one room but it was clean, roomy and had everything you need for a weekend away. Could not...
