Had a wonderful Easter break at No.14 and stayed for 3 nights. The place is welcoming, pleasantly furnished, lovingly decorated and spotlessly clean. Chris and Terry were friendly and helpful, supplying us with local information and customising our breakfast according to our wishes. They even gave each guest a big chocolate Easter bunny on Easter Sunday! Great location within easy walking distance to restaurants, shops, Pavilion, The Lanes, North Laine, seafront... Looking forward to staying again next time we're visiting Brighton!

Booked online largely as a result of good TripAdvisor ratings. We were very happy with the position, our welcome, our room and the breakfasts. Hosts were friendly and helpful without over doing it. We would be happy to return.

My husband and I stayed at number 14 for two nights booked after reading the excellent reviews on trip advisor. We were not disappointed, The room was comfortable and spotless (we stayed in number 3). Chris and Terry were lovely, friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome. Number 14 is about 7 or 8 minutes walk to the centre of Brighton and parking was easy right outside the house. It was ideal for just popping back and forward throughout the day as we wanted. We hope to return again and would have no doubts in giving a recommendation.

We stayed for one night and found the service great. We arrived early in the afternoon but this was not a problem- we were able to check in straight away and leave our luggage in our room before heading out. The hotel was in a prime location, just a short walk from the main shopping areas and the sea front. Despite its central location, it was still quiet and I slept well. Breakfast in the morning was excellent, you could have a full English or yoghurt and fruit (or both) depending on your mood and hunger levels. All in all it was a great stay :)

Booked 2 rooms, both were lovely and spacious, very clean and had everything we needed. Breakfast was lovely and the hosts were very friendly and helpful. Parking was great with the residents permit and saved us a lot of money. Great location, walking distance to seafront, shops, bars and theatre. Would definately use again and would recommend to friends.

We stayed here for one night on our way to France. Superbly appointed room, the BEST bed I have had thus far in any accommodation at any price in Europe (!)

Breakfast was wonderful, location is central to the action but quiet nonetheless.

Highly recommended!

We chose this guest house after reading the reviews on Trip Advisor and weren't disappointed in the least. I didn't realise they had a website so went not knowing what the rooms were like or what to expect. Let's just say it was a very pleasant surprise!

We stayed in Room 2, which is a beautifully appointed room with an enormous bed, recently re-decorated bathroom and all the amenities you would expect from a much more expensive hotel. We felt as though we were staying with friends rather than in a hotel - with an ironing board, hairdryer and tea/coffee making facilities in the room.

Number 14 is a stone's throw from the beach and a five minute walk to Brighton Pier. With numerous bars and restaurants around the corner in St James's St you won't have any trouble finding somewhere great to eat. There are also supermarkets nearby if you need to stock up.

The best part of our stay was our hosts. Chris and Terry were friendly and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. They cook a mean fry up in the morning, just a word of warning though - all breakfasts are served with baked beans which is not written on the menu, so if you're anti-bean like us, ask for your meal without!

All in all, a fabulous trip to Brighton and would definitely stay here again. Thanks Chris and Terry!
