We stayed here for one night for a girly trip to Brighton. We had one twin room (one double bed, one single), and one triple room (King bed and single bed)

Reception staff were helpful and polite. The rooms were very clean, beds comfortable. The bathroom was spotlessly clean.

There were quite a few stag dos, and a couple of hen dos there, but there was no real lairy atmosphere because of it. It was a bit noisy at night time.

If you're after something clean, comfortable and convenient I would definitely recommend it. On a par with something like Premier Inn. We would definitely stay there again.

I stayed here for 2 nights on 19th & 20th April 2012 and was very impressed with the hotel, staff and food. I was a little nervous about staying in such a central location near to the weekend - especially as I was staying on business and needed quality sleep! but I had nothing to worry about. I arrived at 11pm and was greeted with a beaming smile from the receptionist (nice touch), the room was spotlessly clean and comfortable (I've slept in slightly comfier beds mind!) and although there were people in the rooms around me, I could barely hear them. Usually you can hear peoples conversations the walls are so thin - but not so here. Breakfast both mornings - buffet style - was fresh and tasty with a huge choice. You have to use a room card to operate the lifts on the ground floor which was a great security feature. Parking is a pain (if you're used to parking on site for free) but the staff at the station car park opposite were very friendly and helpful.

Stayed on a busy Saturday night, reception was manic on arrival due to the large number of stag and hen parties. Room was spacious, clean and well appointed. The lifts have a key security device on them which I have never seen anywhere else, rather annoying if one of you forgets the key card and needs to return upstairs.

Shower was pathetic at all times of the day, no room service available and very noisy. Although I do understand that its not the hotels fault that guests shout and scream all night.

I would say the Premier Inn is a better bet for this sort of hotel in Brighton.

Dear Brighton_SussexGuru

Thank you for taking the time to write review.

We are the second largest hotel in the city so as you can imagine we are very busy particularly during the weekends. I’m sorry that you feel the additional security measures we put in place could cause inconvenience; there are several references to this being extremely beneficial as it ensures that only residents can gain access to the bedroom floors. All our rooms are en suite and have power showers; I’m surprised you found the pressure low. I will review this with my maintenance department.
As Brighton is generally a leisure destination, people do arrive back in the early hours and unfortunately some are noisier than others. We do all we can to limit the amount of disruption to other guests.

Kind regards

The rooms are everything you would expect in a chain hotel – simple and practical. The bed was adequately comfortable, the furnishings all in perfect condition and the room very clean. I had a family room to myself (at £70 it was the same price as all rooms on offer) so it was relatively spacious, with a sofa bed set out near the double bed and plentiful towels. The shower was fairly weak.

The communal areas of the hotel are smarter than most big chains, the bar area fairly pleasant, and the buffet breakfast was plentiful and fresh.

The hotel is very close to the train station (exit to the left immediately after the ticket barriers), so is ideal for attending a game at the Amex Stadium.

Would be happy to book again next time I need a short stopover.

Arrived mid morning by car for an overnight stay mid-week. Easy car parking right opposite and very cheap (£16 for 24 hour period in the City centre..!) Hotel spacious, very clean and a welcoming atmosphere. Staff friendly and efficient. The facilities - bar and restaurant areas good in terms of seating, tables and the prices. Food menu looked really good and well thought out although Brighton has so many places to eat that you might be tempted to not eat here. Breakfast however was taken at the hotel and this was on par with the high star rated hotels in the City. Enjoyable and fresh ingredients. Room - a twin, was well appointed, airy and quite adequate for the one night stay.Beds comfortable and had a good nights sleep. Coffee from the bar area was Costa - and very good. Only complaint and a very small one at that, was the level of pop music in the public toilet area. Otherwise - excellent hotel and would definitely return.

Room Tip: Rooms on the station side look out over the car park and railway tracks. Soundproofing addresses thi...

pros:
-new, modern and clean throughout
-full breakfast : excellent
-price
cons:
-sofa bed too small for two kids, unless they are very small
-not close to the sea, the pier and the places of interest (good if you want the station-3 mins walk)
-no free car park (station's car park is across the street, but you have to pay, £11/day)

Really nice modern hotel (one of the few modern ones in Brighton)
The rooms are a good size, they are also clean and well furnished.
The breakfast Buffet is huge and always fresh and hot .
Overall a very pleasant experience ... BUT if you arrive by car beware as they do not have thier own car park. They direct you to a car park right by the station (about a 100metre walk away) the tarrif seems reasonable at £16 per night , what they fail to point out is that the nightly charge expires at around 4.30a.m., you then incur a surcharge (a nasty trick, I think).
If however you park in a private car park in nearby Fleet St it is only £12 for 24 hours , it is a bit of a bomb site but it is only a car park after all.
