“Fantastic House in a fantastic location”
Reviewed 11 August 2016 for a stay in August 2016

This house is perfect for a large group of people. Hens and stags alike. We were a stag of 24 and there was plenty of room. Location is really good very close to the centre, the beach and lots of bars. Giles and Mandy were very friendly, accommodating and helpful. If your going to Brighton, the check this place out.

Reviewed 27 April 2016 for a stay in April 2016

The vendor was so helpful answering all my advance questions and letting me view the property to ensure I was happy with what I booked before I booked it.

The venue is really cool, a great space and everyone had a lot of fun.

It is a fantastic location as well - would def recommend.

“Fantastic Hen Weekend!”
Reviewed 15 March 2016 for a stay in March 2016

I booked this town house for my cousins Hen Party. To say she was over-whelmed with us all staying in this house would be an understatement.
There where 24 of us and everyone enjoyed their stay, sleeping well and felt very comfortable and safe at the house.
On the Friday night we stayed in and made full use of what the house had to offer. The kitchen had all needed to prepare a dinner for 24 and the downstairs basement was perfect for playing games, and all being together.
The location was fantastic - with a Morrison's on the next road and within walking distance of all Brighton's hot spots.
Giles made the booking v.easy and hassle free. Communication with himself and his team was brilliant, answering all my questions and being v.friendly.
We had an awesome time in Brighton celebrating, and all staying under one roof made it even more special.

Liked best: The basement and Snug in the kitchen where fun additions to the house.
Liked least: The doors are v. heavy and make lots of doors when left to swing shut.

Very nice cosy property large enough for a group of 17 people. Fantastic location as it is close to the beach, pier, marina and restaurants. Lovely kitchen and clean comfortable beds. I
recommend this property.

“Good house - a bit cramped for groups over 20”
Reviewed 28 June 2015 for a stay in May 2015

We stayed in the hen house in May 2015 for a hen do for 23 people.

The house itself is nice - one of the hens had actually stayed there a few weeks before and since then they have painted the floor (which had marks on it) and put in some new sofas.

There is a large dining room where everyone can sit together in the basement.

The only criticisms I would have is that in my opinion the house should not be advertised for groups over 20. The rooms are not that big - you have to use pull out beds which means that there is absolutely no room for bags or walking in the room when other people are sleeping.

There is also a shortage of bathrooms for a group that big - 4 bathrooms in total between 23 girls is not enough. Personally I think the owners would do better from converting the small room into a bathroom and advertising the house as sleeping 18.

Having said that the accommodation is good value for a large group in Brighton in a central location. The owner is nice and responsive and they weren't petty about returning deposits when one of our group accidentally broke a glass etc.

Hi Anne Marie - thank you for your review - there are actually five bathrooms not four at the property - one ensuite and one shower/WC on the ground floor, one ensuite and one bath/WC on the 1st floor and one shower/WC on the top floor.. I take on board your comments about whether it should sleep less people but having polled hens when it first opened they wanted a large dining area to sit 24 and preferred that the cost was cheaper as it was divided by a large number rather than sleeping less - saying that I do get a lot of groups who are only 12!

“Easy and Fun Weekend”
Reviewed 23 June 2015 for a stay in June 2015

I recently stayed at George Street for my 24th Birthday with 23 friends and it was brilliant!

Before we got there Giles was really helpful and responded to my queries straight away.

Tina met us at the house and showed us through everything - the rooms are more than adequate, the kitchen is well stocked with glasses, plates and cutlery and there is plenty of space to sit. We were even able to all do a pub quiz in the kitchen space!

The location of the house was so easy - the pier, centre, night club, supermarkets and station are all in walking distance and I would highly recommend jungle rumble adventure golf!

All in all it was a very easy, relaxed holiday for such a big group of people and I would definitely recommend it to those wanting a weekend break to catch up and cook for each other and still be able to break off and go explore a city.

We will hopefully return for my 25th...

“Perfect for Large Groups”
Reviewed 4 March 2015 for a stay in February 2015

A mixed group of 20 of us stayed for the weekend in February and this house was perfect for our needs. The location is great - 5mins to the beach/pier and with a morrisons and many other small convenience shops and cafés just around the corner. The main rooms of the house had plenty of space for us all to socialise in, and the 5 bathrooms are understandably small but ideal - many other large houses I'd looked at only had 2 or 3! A well stocked kitchen utensil/crockey wise, and lots of dishwashers and hot water. The table football table was popular with the boys, and the large speaker for an ipod was a great addition and well used! Giles was a delight to talk to with useful advice and very helpful throughout the booking process. I would highly recommend George Street as a fantastic party house!
