Service great but very bland Indian.
If you like flavor then not good. Service great, shame as looking forward to a decent meal.

Thank Ian B

Was a great meal. Wonderful food. Great service. We really couldn’t fault it. The lamb fell apart. The chicken was juicy. The spice was good and the heat perfect. Thank you and we will be back for more.

Had the vindaloo and sag paneer and both were excellent, I accompanied the spicy vindaloo with an argentian malbec (i cant drink beer) and it was a surprisingly good bottle of wine. Service was kind and attentive on the not so busy Tuesday night.

We recently bought a property in Brighton and decided to try Ashoka. We had a meal there many years ago but couldn't remember how we rated it. The staff were incredibly welcoming. The atmosphere cosy and personal. The food was absolutely delicious! We tend to request adaptations to traditional dishes to match our pallet - this is not always welcomed! The approach at Ashoka was that nothing was too much trouble and any request made they would deliver. I ordered a king prawn dish - the prawns were a very impressive size and the flavour was divine. Please try it - I'm confident you won't regret it!

I actually picked some dishes unique to this place - liked the food , but the waiters were pretty bloody rude - the food was nice but cold, One of the waiters rushing me about to return to my sit , as i got up to remove my coat from near the sizzling skillet. The other one too keen to control what was going on with our table, keen to empty all the wine and beer onto the glasses so he could take away the bottles! - sio i had to stop him, politely , although fuming,,,,as he was about to fill our glasses to the brim, at a moement when we were pacing ourselves and taking it easy. Not the smartest people, that is for sure. And definitely not trained at all.
