“Best Italian meal in years!”
Reviewed 11 July 2014

Had a wonderful meal here during our first trip to Brighton. Food was truly delicious, fresh and clearly prepared with great attention to presentation and flavour. Another plus was the well priced and very drinkable house red! The restaurant is simple and stylish with a friendly informal atmosphere and a modern Italian vibe. Really enjoyed chatting (in my less than perfect Italian) with the charming owner who still seems full of enthusiasm even after many years in the business. Will definitely return if in Brighton again.

“Bright modern Italian with traditional menu”
Reviewed 9 July 2014

1st night in Brighton and this was a good find. Very good food, central location. Service was good. Razor clams special was excellent. Several things on menu I would have been happy to order. Had the casalingo chicken which was great. It was very busy for a Monday night which is a good sign.

“Top-tastic Authentic Italian Restaurant! ”
Reviewed 8 July 2014 via mobile

We found this restaurant after a fair walk from our hotel. We were actually looking for a Chinese restaurant as there were 2 on the same street as Casa Lingo.

They didn't look too appealing however - not busy, a little run-down, menu lacking etc. Mr N liked how clean and fresh Casa Lingo looked so upon checking the menu we went in. It was quite busy considering it was early doors (6.30pm)

They squeezed us in despite being busy but advised we'd have to leave by 8pm as our table was booked. .. No problem! We were starving... I didn't anticipate it would take long to shovel in the food!

Staff were really friendly and great with our kids. They gave them extra breadsticks as my oldest was wearing a Ferrari Jacket with Italian colours!

Lots of lovely things on the menu to choose... I opted for a fish dish in a tomato sauce with capers with crushed potatoes. Sounds simple enough but the intense flavours were incredible! Super - happy with my choice :)

Kids had pasta. . Pesto rigatoni & spaghetti bolognese. I tasted the pesto pasta as it looked amazing... wow!! Best dish hands down. Little 5 yr old wolfed it down (adult sized portion too!!)

Mr N had chicken milanese. 3 bread crumbed portions of chicken breastfeeding with a side of spaghetti in a tomato sauce. He reported that it was average and was slightly disappointed. (I think he was slightly envious of how incredible our dishes looked / tasted!!)

Restaurant was very tastefully decorated with a great atmosphere.

Price-wise it's a bit more than your average good-quality Italians but I would say it's well worth it. Will definately be back when in town :)

“Nice busy Italian”
Reviewed 7 July 2014

Food was delicious, though portions were enormous. Would probably recommend that you share a starter, we just couldn't finish the main course and ended up carrying a doggy bag around Brighton. Service was very good, waiters attentive and cost very reasonable for the quality. Would recommend.
