Description: Brighton's critically acclaimed Terre a Terre is a vegetarian restaurant that will have even the most ardent carnivore waxing lyrical. Situated close to the sea-front. The decor is chic and stylish, using wooden floors and furniture to contrast with vibrant colours. But here the food is the centrepiece: dhal basmati buns with coconut curry leaf chatni, better Batter and Lemony Yemeni Relish and Thai aubergine jungle curry are just a few of the exotic and imaginative dishes you can find here. To complement the food, a large selection of organic beers, ciders and wines are available. A three course meal here costs an average of £30 per person. A refreshing take on vegetarian cuisine.

Worth the journey back to Brighton just to eat in this restaurant. Veggie and tired of the same old food? Well, this restaurant will certainly awake your taste buds. Fine bouche cuisine.

A culinary delight. Fancy, fabulous food that continues to impress after many visits. It's clear why people travel such a distance to come here. An update of the interior (white table cloths for example) would be welcome but otherwise for me it's easily the best restaurant in Brighton.

While the menu can be a bit off-putting with novel length ingredient lists, the friendly staff are always happy to give an explanation. One thing that you can be sure of, is that whatever you eat will be delicious. The clever construction and use of unsual ingredients somehow manage to make every mouthful bring new and exciting tastes. One of my favourite dishes is the 'not fish and chips' using crisply beer battered haloumi in place of your usual cod.

My firmly carnivourous husband was very skeptical when i dragged him here, huffing and puffing over the lack of meat, and was convinced he was going to have to fill up at a kebab shop after our lunch tasting plate. At a very reasonable price (about 25 quid, I think) we had a selection of all the dishes on offer, plus a carafe of decent wine that had us wobbling home with full happy tummies.

If you come to Brighton, you HAVE to visit Terre a Terre.

We turned up and it was closed! So please check the Website for further details. It was still great to be there though, but we hade to go too Food for Friends just around the corner which is also delightful, and with lovely staff.
I love Terre a Terre, but the staff are sometimes rather "cold" and not as friendly or helpful as you may expect at a veggie place. But the food is a dream - together with Food for friends one of my two favorite Restaurants in England
