Very reasonable hotel for price. Room was small but clean and comfortable. Fairly basic looking in public areas, but contrary to other reviews the owner is very pleasant, friendly and I thought old-fashioned in a good way. His assistant from France also very friendly and professional. Breakfast nicely cooked and plenty of it. Nice breakfast room and plants. Give this place a chance! it's not the Ritz but it's perfectly acceptable and the owner is good. Only downside was grubby windows on the outside, but no big deal.

We booked this hotel at a very last minute as family ill health and we were travelling down from Yorkshire so were just looking for somewhere to stay near the hospital.
You could tell that the whole hotel had recently has quite a lot of renovation in that there were new carpets and the slight smell of paint. If you are after a room and breakfast, this is the hotel for you. It does what it says!
However, the proprietor, Peter, was the friendliest, nicest, kindest person I have met for a long time, and had some very interesting stories to tell, especially at breakfast!
He even offered to run an errand for us if we needed help from Yorkshire! Room 18 has the best views of the beach and you can exercise along with the Tai Chi people on the beach¬

Room tip: Room 18. Best view of the beach by far!

It was the only place with vacancies when we found ourselves stuck after a hotel mix-up.
The owner, though very chatty is a warm change from the usual continental efficiency that heralds the inevitable generic hotel experience. A check-in for the most tolerant, but it's very friendly. The room renovations are almost complete and we were given a wonderful sea view. The beds were clean and comfortable and for a budget hotel was great value. It might not be luxury for the most discerning traveller, but I think a great deal of efforet is made to welcome everyone. If the efforts continue then it could pay dividends. Away from the main hubub, it is a quiet seafront time trip. We loved it.

This is not a hotel it's a terrible b&b.. it is without doubt the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. went out with friends and family who said that they could have told me how bad it was.. I wish I had known before.. The owner is very odd.. the whole place is dirty and creepy and should be closed down..

This building is old and has its own quirks, wonky stair cases, gaps between floor boards ect. Our experience included a very nice welcome and clean functioning room with a great view. It doesn't matter that the room numbers aren't in order as you only need to know where your room is. I also noticed a book case full of books for children and adults. We have stayed in much better and also much worse. Can't comment on food as we went out with friends.

Room tip: Stunning beach views
