“Spent many hours here ”
Reviewed 19 August 2014 via mobile

When my baby was newborn I spent many hours here as there is comfortable seating, you used to be able to reserve the sofas so you could go with a group of friends and have plenty of room.
The food is average, but they change the menu up regularly which is good, their gluten free chocolate brownie is particularly delicious!
They've recently upped their prices quite a lot which is a huge shame, I go far less now because of this reason if I'm honest.
But the staff are lovely and it's a good meet up place for a group of friends, and they have plenty of high chairs for children, although they won't heat up your child's food due to health and safety reasons which is ridiculous in my opinion.

“Vegan & gluten free cake options available”
Reviewed 28 July 2014

We were here for coffee and cake one afternoon. I was thrilled to find that all our motley crew could enjoy a treat as they offer dairy free, gluten free and vegan options for their cakes. I was also touched that rather than a tip jar the staff have a collection to fund an outreach program they run in their basement.
A comfy seat, a guilt free treat AND a venue with a conscience.

“Lovely afternoon tea”
Reviewed 26 July 2014 via mobile

Had a fabulous and plentiful afternoon tea here, freshly made sandwiches, homemade soft & moist coffee cake, huge scones with clotted cream and jam. I liked the fact I could choose any sandwich, cake and drink of my choice. They coped with my complex allergy and I felt very safe. Lovely staff, really friendly and lovely service.

“Amazing little find in Hasting.”
Reviewed 20 July 2014

Beautiful little cafe with a periodic set of decor to it. Selection on teas, cold drinks and cakes. Does have a lunch menu, and even though we didn't try the food - what was being served looked and smelled lovely.

A beautiful find which is worth a visit for an hour.

“By recommendation - not disappointed”
Reviewed 9 July 2014 via mobile

July 8th 2014: Late afternoon so cake selection was limited to about eight or so. We were advised by the very helpful waitress that the apple & raspberry was particularly nice and moist. We weren't disappointed and even the Twinnings Earl Grey tea tasted better than one usually expects.
Most of the cakes are baked on the premises too! Can recommend and will go again. Our waitress is a bit of a 'foody' and was able to suggest and number of good local restaurants as well.
Comfy sofas/chairs and pleasant ambience.
