After looking online for a Hotel for 1 night we decided on Eagle House because they have plenty of parking on premises. On arrival we were made to feel very welcome and was allowed to check in earlier than stated which was good. We were in room 8 which was very dated with old furniture and rusty windows but it was clean. Bed very hard and uncomfortable plus could hear the toilet cistern next door when used. Glad we were only staying the one night, would not return or recommend!!! Breakfast was good and cooker to order. It was about 30 minutes walk to Hastings Old Town along the seafront which was very pleasant.
We had lunch in the Dolphin Inn which is on the seafront by the Old Town it was very nice reasonably priced and a very friendly welcome by all the staff.
Also we had our evening meal in Pasta Pasta which was on the seafront.towards Brighton. Come out of the hotel turn left then right to seafront when you get to the bottom of the road turn right and it is just along the road. The menu was very good and great food.
There is a small bar in the hotel which is great for a drink before returning to your room in the evening.

Room Tip: Superior rooms should be better

We had a two night break here in a superior room, the staff were very friendly and the room was recently decorated and clean. We had a very comfortable bed with good quality sheets, pillows and duvet. There was a new shower and modern bathroom fittings.
We also had very good breakfasts with plenty of food including fresh fruit and decent coffee.
It was a short walk to the sea front and to local shops and places to eat, it is a short easy bus ride into Hastings which meant we could leave our car in the free car park and explore
There were only a few minor negative points, shortage of hangers, only three were provided which was not a problem for two nights but would have been for a longer holiday.
Also not enough towels and only small bath towels, maybe it's just me but I would have thought bath sheets would have been standard.

Room Tip: Our superior room was in the basement so I wouldn't bother spending extra for one

friendly staff, good breakfast, clean and good for the price. I left my USB there and a lovely staff member called me up and then sent it to me in the post. I call this good personal service.

We stayed for one night, hotel was in a good location, free parking outside. The hotel looked fresh from the outside, but inside was a little dated. We were shown to our room, it was a family room, although we had only booked a double. The room was a nice size and passed the test of pulling the curtains to make sure they met in the middle1, I always use this as a test. Tea and coffee making available in the room, with biscuits too
Shower looked like it had just been refurbished or fixed, and worked well, although the door was quite stiff
The bed was uncomfortable, and I wouldn't want to sleep in it again
There was a function in the dining room during the evening, it didn't matter to us as we were out, but it could have been noisy if we had tried for an early night. it did not effect us though
Breakfast was good, cooked food or fruit and cereals, and more tea, coffee and toast on request
Overall, ok for a one night stay, unlikely to be in this area again, so unlikely to stay again

Room Tip: We had room 16, which above the restaurant, try to get room 8 or a room on the top floor

Plenty of parking, then we were welcomed on arrival and shown to our room , offered any assistance for directions for meals etc. We had the large family room for ourselves and two adult children, it was clean and spacious. One bed in the second room was particularly hard and squeaky , which kept the other person awake as well, but that was our only complaint. Breakfast was plentiful, in a lovely large dining room. We would recomend to others.

My friend and I booked this hotel on line having viewed the images available. Upon arrival we were greeted by the owner? who showed us to our room on the ground floor. The furniture was old, the room was not clean and the bathroom undesirable. We requested another room and were given one above it. Cleaner but still old furniture and musty. We left after two hours having decided the town and the hotel were not for us. The owner was friendly, the parking good and outside the hotel looked good, unfortunately the interior let it down.

Room Tip: Unable to assist, don't be mislead by the photos on website
