Description: One Cafe and Gallery in the heart of St Leonards on Sea. A friendly atmosphere with views out to sea, perfect to relax and enjoy the wide range on offer, from tea and cake to home made Vegetarian Lasagne; Bacon sandwiches to Prawn Kebabs; Mango Chicken baguette to Vegetable curry. New "specials" every week! Or you could just have a coffee and watch the sea!

The food is wholesome, and the service accommodating...eg they popped out to get me an avocado so i could have an avocado salad, and I was regularly asked if I wanted a top up of my teapot. I like it they sometimes have homemade vegan icecream too, decent glossy mags to read, a Guardian, what's on type flyers and local cards to buy. A quirky relaxed place run by a quirky natural lady.

Arrived on a cold weekday morning at 11'ish and empty. Asked for tea and toast and after a long wait, the waitress served one small pot of tea with a cracked teapot. She apologised for the lack of toast and served a toasted teacake covered in a paper napkin on a plate. No cutlery or condiments were offered and the plate was full of crumbs. The waitress offered to go out to buy some bread but I politely declined; seemed strange that a cafe had no bread. The cafe is dirty (dust and food debris on the floor/walls, PVC tablecloth stained); badly in need of redecoration (fixtures hanging off the wall). Can now undertsand why it was empty on arrival.
