Fagins sits on a busy corner of the Old Town, connecting the Highstreet with George Street and it serves a mixture of Italian and American food - pizza, pasta and burgers - with a healthy dose of fish thrown in (it is Hastings after all!)
The food is always good - large portions and freshly prepared - but it is a basic eatery and although the decor is a little quirky and slightly reminiscent of a 1800's opium den, there is nothing especially excellent in either the food quality or presentation.
The alcohol is very expensive for what you get here, especially the wine, but the staff are always lovely and the service is quick even when it is busy.
I recommend this place if you are looking for a moderately priced meal in the heart of Hastings to fill you and cheer up!
