We stumbled upon Number 46 by accident when booking last minute for somewhere to crash out after a party, and were really pleasantly surprised! The rooms are beautifully decorated and finished to a very high standard, with thoughtful touches making all the difference.. for example they supply you with wine glasses and a corkscrew as standard, dressing gowns, there is even a stand of spare umbrellas in the hallway for guests use. The quality of furniture is also to a higher standard than I have seen in a B&B, and we couldn't fault the cleanliness.
On arrival we received a warm welcome and were shown to our rooms, the owner also took time to show us a map of the area to ensure we had our bearings. All other questions were answered in a handy guide to the B&B such as WIFI code etc, they even tell you were the nearest places are for breakfast and dinner, some offering a discount to guests of Number 46.
We didn't stay for breakfast as we were there over a weekend. At this time a continental breakfast was on offer on Saturdays and Sundays, but we felt the need for a fry up! The only downside is it's a shame they can't offer a cooked breakfast on weekends as they do Monday-Friday.
All in all this little B&B is great value for money, I would definitely stay there again.More
