What a brilliant place. From the revolving doors, quirky corridoors and rooms, friendly staff, we could not ask for a nicer place to stay. I took hubby away for his birthday, had never booked a break before so was a little nervous, the lady on the end of the phone could'nt have been any more helpful. We were shown to our room along slopping corridoors that brought a smile to our faces, then to our room, very clean with everything we could need, lovely bathroom even that was on a slope!!! The seaview was lovely and watching the sunset together was very romantic. After fish and chips in the sunshine and some advice from the lady on receiption we went to the theatre next door, saw a good show then back to the hotel bar where again the staff were great, we chose to sit in the guest only area so we could chat, very comfy. Breakfast in the morning was delicious, the full audrey is highly recommended. It's a shame the weather turned damp, breakfast on the terrace would have been great. My only complaint would be floor to ceiling windows needed so the views could be enjoyed from every angle of the room. Next time we go we're going to try the rooms with the juliet balcolny.

A fantastic location for a very good price. Really enjoyed this hotel and everything it offered. Comfortable and cheery bar area, free wifi and private lounge for resdients only.
This is a hotel you can bring your pampered pooch to but thankfully there are no doggy odours. Was quite amusing sharing the breakfast room with peoples dogs.
The rooms are well appointed and we had a lovely sea view.
Easy walking distance to most places including the lovely George Street old town.
Right next door to the Theatre

Room Tip: Nice to have a seaview but rear facing rooms are just as nice

We have stayed a few times when down this way. Clean rooms, quirky building and gorgeous breakfast (Full Audrey is a must). We have never had a bad stay so they must be doing something right. Even the owner's dog in reception seems genuinely happy to see you.

Room Tip: First floor rooms are slightly bigger and have baths. Overlooking the sea is a must

Hotel overlooking the sea front was perfect . The staff were friendly and efficient, The hotel was clean, the breakfast was very good, and overall an excellent experience. Would recommend this hotel , but book a sea view room for the best experience

Room Tip: pick a sea view room

The owner has made a good job of bringing this Victorian hotel into the 21st Century. Rooms are freshly decorated in period colours with large modern showers (no bath) and comfy beds. The narrow corridors and odd creaky floorboard belie it's history but that only emphasises how well it's been done, The breakfast is cooked to order with absolutely perfect eggs and mushrooms. Has a car park, rare in this location, though a bit tight. Right on the promenade but not noisy inside or out. The pier may be derelict but has it's own charm being full-on burned out skeletal shell rather than just down at heel.

Room Tip: Can't beat the sunrise and sunset from a seaview room with balcony (vestigial)

As soon as I entered through the revolving door I loved this hotel. The bar maybe the ugliest that I have ever seen but there are so many good things about this place that even that can be overlooked. The rooms are spacious and the beds are huge, which was such a luxury. Friendly and helpful staff made our short stay very enjoyable. I am sure we will be back.

Overall a good hotel, Our room was a superior King and was very nice, the bed was very comfortable, bathroom was very modern and clean. Despite the beginnings of the predicted storm raging outside, the room remained very quiet, would have happily stayed the second night we had booked but we made the decision to leave because of the severe weather warnings and the need to travel a fair distance home. We managed to get parked in the free car park (space for 16 cars), so for us parking was spot on! There are a lot of stairs but there is a lift,if somewhat small.
It is a dog friendly hotel, dogs are allowed in the dining room which I didn't particularly like but they are clear they are dog friendly so can't grumble. Have to say though all the dogs were well behaved!

Lovely bar/dining room with a terrace and a strict no smoking rule on the outside terrace.

All staff were very pleasant and helpful. Was shown to our room and that doesn't happen very often anymore! We would consider staying here again.

Room Tip: Go for a sea view room, no point in staying on the sea front of you can't see the Sea!
