Excellent service - very friendly and helpful hosts. Greeted with a welcome beer and friendly smile after long day driving. Very comfortable room with many extra little touches to give it that special feeling. The bed was SO comfortable. Hastings House is in an excellent location - easy walking distance to restuarants and right at the beach. Would loved to have stayed longer! Excellent breakfast too.

Although the rooms are clean you may get a back one as we did overlooking dirty streets with piles of rubbish:You will get a pleasant reception from a barking dog although you will get a complimentary drink: Dont take your mum unless you want to watch her shower or take a poo as there is no privacy at all in rooms:Breakfast is ok but not great:Certainly not 5star;probably the worst 250 pound ive ever spent:Still each to their own

This hotel is a close to perfect as you could get. the greeting was friendly and informative without going over the top. The room we booked was a sea view room, which we paid extra for. Worth every penny. the room itself looked like new. the quality just lept out on you. the bedding, bed, curtains and bathroom were the best Ive seen. having knowledge of the trade the decoration was perfect. If we wanted to be picky the bath towels could have been a bit bigger. and looking for detail as I do every electrical fitting in the room had its fitting screw running vertically, real detail to finish who ever carried out the electrical work.
Breakfast was perfect with nothing to much trouble.
When we stay in Hastings again this is the place I will book without doubt.
Thanks for a great stay.

Room Tip: Pay for the upgrade and get a sea view

Easy parking outside the hotel and a warm, relaxed welcome from Seng. We immediately felt that our break had started. Our room was immaculate, big windows with a view of the sun shining on the sea, pretty orchid on the table. Room and bathroom modern but not 'clinical' , crisp white linen and soft pillows. Thoughtful mini bar, and variety of teas etc.( We would have liked a couple more sachets of coffee and milk). Very peaceful and comfortable nights sleep. Great shower, fluffy towels and bathrobes.
Breakfast very good indeed, porridge and full English, freshly squeezed orange juice, nice thick toast, all served with a smile by Seng. Everything top quality, you won't be disappointed.

Room Tip: Call or e-mail the owner

Very well kept and cared for hotel with warm friendly owners. The owners were happy to give advice on the area and nothing was to much bother.Would have been good to get a room with a view to the outside but this downstairs room was the last available at the time. The room however was still nice and had a window to part of the terrace though slighty dark as covered.Great choice of breakfast and superb porridge with apple!!Parking was hit and miss as in a square with limited time limits. The immediate outside parking was free all day but getting a space could be tricky.I think you can reserve underground parking somewhere near if you ask when booking.Seng the owner was great however making space for me to park my car right outside.Great owners and definately would stay again if in st leonards

Room Tip: Aim for an upstairs room if you like a view!

Lovely balcony and sea view. Breakfast and service was amazing. Friendly, efficient and perfection. Seng and Elizabeth are wonderful very laid back hosts and you feel immediately at home with them, along with Dusty their adorable dog! We stayed for 3 days mid-week just before the Royal Wedding. We loved it... rooms are decorated in a lovely style with nice a big shower room. The breakfast is amazing and set us up nicely each day. Try the porridge foloowed by a full english then toast & jam.... u aint going hungry! Seng & his wife made us feel very welcome and gave us great info of the local area.... they also let us stay to watch the wedding on their tv on the friday!! We would definitely recommend it to anyone.... thanks.
