Thank you to Karen and Malcolm for a wonderful stay. From the moment we arrived the whole experience was superb. Beautiful Georgian building with a fantastic ambience, with every guest need thoughtfully catered for. We stayed in the Red Room, which was lovely, with a very comfortable bed and a beautifully appointed bathroom, with high quality toiletry products provided. Our breakfast was a treat, with a choice of delicious offerings, served in a gorgeous conservatory. The home made fruit granola was yummy and the poached eggs and bacon on sourdough bread was also great. We can’t wait to return to this fantastic boutique guest house in the Autumn.

We have just returned home after a delightful three nights at the Laindons and what a treat it was. The rooms are beautifully appointed, more than just comfortable, but luxurious towels, beds, bedlinen and all the toiletries you could possibly ever need, all the very best quality and much appreciated. The food at breakfast which was pre ordered every evening was absolutely delightful, all the finest quality, delicious breads, smoothies, and granolas, or full cooked breakfast and most of it home made by Karen and served by Malcolm. We could not fault it. I really loved the art and the style of the rooms and attention to detail such as the cups on legs, all adorable. We are only sorry that we didn’t stay longer to use the salon or the lovely drinks from the little bar, maybe next time!
Everywhere was beautifully clean and stylish, the welcome huge and hospitality perfect, what more can I say but "thank you" .

Room tip: Car parking only around the corner. Malcolm solves all the problems should there be any.

This was our first B&B/Hotel stay since January 2020 and almost forgot what a pleasure it is staying in a well-run and friendly guest house.

For our three-night 'nostalgia' stay, the accommodation (Red Room), breakfast (super quality), facilities and, above all, hosts Karen and Martin were excellent. There is not much more to add in terms of description and praise that has not already been recorded in previous reviews. The 'extras' in the room were very welcome, such as good quality tea and coffee items, and bathroom toiletries - even facemasks. The room was spacious and the bathroom (shower only) was compact but very comfortable. The shower was really powerful too! Only two very minor mentions: the noise from the shower (pump) in the adjoining room was very loud when in operation, and that there is no lift/elevator in the building. These are only very tiny observations though and in no way interfered with our relaxing and enjoyable stay at the Laindons.

The location in the old High Street is perfect for the old Hastings Town and the seafront, as well as the lovely east and west cliffs. We elected to take to train to Hastings (from London) and Hastings station is approximately a 20-minute walk to the guest house.

Now that we have discovered the Laindons, it will be our first choice for accommodation in future visits to Hastings, and will base any stays around room availability. It's a real gem!

From the moment we were met by the host Malcolm we felt welcome.
This is a very well run establishment, the bedrooms and shared areas are exquisite and the attention to detail, such as home made biscuits etc is excellent.
We stayed in the yellow room which was large and bright with a fantastic panoramic window overlooking Hastings. The bed was large with quality linen and comfortable. A mini bar is provided at reasonable prices that also contains your fresh milk for the tea or cafeteria coffee in the room. The room was spotless with a bath, shower and a separate WC. Iron, board, hairdryer are also in the room.
Breakfast was high quality with home made granola (the yogurt isn’t churned by Malcom for 8 hours I might add 😊) the full English is high quality and had some of the best thick cut bacon I’ve ever tasted.
The hotel is well appointed in the old town and subsequently does not have parking, there is room to unload your bags next to the hotel though and a free parking pass was provided by Malcolm for the public car park just minutes down an alley away.
Massages and haircuts are available, my partner enjoyed her massage immensely.
A great base to enjoy Hastings we would not hesitate (and will) rebook.

I don't recall my room's name but the windows face the street which was not an issue at all. I stayed early June, is close to a month but I still remember the softness of the bed, the lovely welcome gifts and the amazing breakfast.
The owners are very helpful and try to accommodate any request even if you don't need anything.

I will repeat for sure.
