“Eggs Benedict to die for!”
Reviewed 18 June 2014

I stayed at Beechwood in May 2014, the Ruby Room was clean and bright, with a comfortable bed and spacious bathroom. The B&B is convieniently located, and was a great 'base' for my weekend exploring East Sussex - did you know it's the first place dinosaur fossils were discovered?!

I could definately get used to an incredible breakfast every day - I checkened out of asking Carol to come and live with me, but seriously, the eggs benedict alone my be my reason to return!

We stayed here for the weekend in April while visiting Lewes and it was pure luxury. We stayed in the Emerald room, which was massive, with an incredibly comfortable bed and our own giant en suite bath.

Everything was clean and well kept, I would highly recommend anyone to stay here.

The hosts were lovely and made what I can only describe as the best eggs benedict I have ever had.

Room Tip: From what I saw, you can't go wrong with the room choice!

Blissfully comfortable, wonderfully appointed, set in beautiful grounds, fantastic attention to detail, friendly and helpful owners, entertaining and attractive dogs, sinfully rich breakfasts - what more could anyone want.

Room Tip: Ruby is my favourite because it overlooks the garden, but all rooms are equally good. Those on the...

We stayed for 2 nights in the Emerald Room, nice and spacious with everything and more you need - more like a hotel than a B&B! My 2 daughters stayed in the adjoining Gold Room which they enjoyed very much, especially the complimentary biscuits and chocolates! Had a wonderful spacious ensuite interlinked by both rooms with the best shower and corner bath. Exceeded expectations in every way from the products in the room and the cosy robes to the breakfast (amazing poached eggs). Had a lovely chat with the owner Carol, who gave us some great advice on places to visit and eat, very hospitable lovely lady. Definitely the best in the area by far, as we often visit that way for family and have tried a few others previously. Big drive way too, so our car was nice and safe. 11 out of 10. Thanks very much!

The whole experience at Beechwood was fantastic and can highly recommend staying there. The Sapphire Room was pure luxury and dedicated private bathroom with its amazing modern walk-in shower was a joy. Breakfast offered a comprehensive and varied menu set in the lovely conservatory overlooking the well-kept garden. Carol and Ceri were very welcoming and would do anything to keep their guests happy and comfortable.

Just stayed 2 nights at Beechwood in the Emerald Room. This was a last minute decision and having not read any reviews about it, our selection was based purely on picture, location and price. Glad to say we made a perfect choice. Everything was very clean and comfortable. Ask and our hosts Ceri and Carol were happy to oblige - and we did have a laugh about trying to put the world to rights!

Room Tip: Always check photos of the room if possible and call them for any questions that need answering

Generous sized bedroom, warm and comfortable, good bathroom with fierce shower. A little road noise in the front rooms if one opens the windows. Great breakfasts with very wide choices.Nice dining room and lounge. The hosts are a charming couple, gregarious and easy going. Good location and near Lewes, Eastbourne and Brighton.
We stay there frequently and would recommend it.
