OK, so no pub in Lewes really needs a review of its beers or its atmosphere, but there are still plenty that serve dubious food. The Lewes Arms is thankfully not one of those, with a small selection of excellent dishes. Between us we had a jerk chicken, Thai fishcakes and a big fat baguette, all packed to the gunnels with juicy ingredients which had most obviously not just come out of the microwave. Everything is great value too, with few maincourses costing over a tenner. A strong reccomendation for anyone visiting this superb town.
