A great mix of welcoming, comfy pub & superb restaurant. Good, friendly service, great range of beers, tasty food, fair prices. The slow cooked pork cassoulet was delicious, succulent pork, spicy chorizo, rich bean sauce.
Two starters, two mains, a beer & two large glasses of wine - £62.50 + and - good value.
Worth booking because at 13.30 on a Saturday they were busy & turning people away.

We fell upon how we remembered Lewes. A particular member all were excellent! However Finlay was so accommodating, professional, well spoken.
The place was clean and welcoming.

Friendly,helpful staff, bar and kitchen. We asked for some variation on the scallops course and were blown away by the result. The Tapas were all tasty and well thought out. We would recommend unreservedly and look forward to returning in the future

We enjoyed a lovely lunch here while visiting family. Portions were very generous & food tasty. Good variety to suit everyone’s taste too. Easy access to back door via a passageway if steps are a problem.

Six friends out for lunch and this place was perfect. The service was super-friendly and polite without being intrusive. More a gastro-pub than just good pub grub, five different main courses and all were excellent. The couple of puds were just as good. Warm and friendly service - the place exudes the character and charm of Lewes. Will be back to check out a tapas lunch.
