This is a delightful setting for enjoying morning coffee with a croissant, a light lunch or indulging in a traditional English afternoon tea, served with pretty vintage cups, saucers and teapots, as well as warming soups, baked potatoes, pies and pastries through the winter months. We are committed to using high quality ingredients from local suppliers. Celebrated my forthcoming wedding here today for my hen do. Couldn’t fault the place. Gorgeous setting, plenty of shade in the garden, delicious afternoon tea and plenty of tea. The scones were amazing, but then so were the cakes and finger sandwiches. Thank you so much to everyone.

If you're in the neighbourhood, walking the Sussex downs, then make sure to set your GPS to have a rest stop here.

A lovely place for a light lunch - we had a delicious cheese and ham toastie & Mediterranean vegetable quiche - both served with a delightfully chutney, salad garnish with lovely dressing and some crisps. Simple but delicious and satisfying.

We followed this with tea and cakes - the warm scones with lashings of clotted cream and jam were out of this world - large, fresh and delicious. We also treated ourselves to an incredible rose and pistachio cake - simply perfect - moist, fresh and a perfect balance of flavours.

All enjoyed whilst sitting in an absolutely beautiful little walled garden full of flowers.

Really special.

We really enjoyed our visit to this beautiful tea room. The staff were so friendly and we had a lovely Cream Tea in the pretty garden. This was our first visit and we'll definitely be returning. Thank you.

Where could you go for tea after a walk to Mount Caburn? Well this tea room of course! A lovely picturesque garden with birds tweeting. A friendly welcome and deserved tea with delicious Elderflower and lemon sponge. What could be better. In fact so good I had to take my wife a couple of days later to sample and she agreed it was a perfect setting. Highly recommended.

Such a lovely place, beautiful garden, great scenery and lovely family staff!
Nothing was too much for them, very tentative and such a variety!
Lemon drizzle cake and pear and amaretto cake both incredibly moist and flavoursome.
Seats in and outside, lots of space, very pretty. Parking a 2 minute walk down the road and some on road parking on the way.
Next to the towns post office - payment by cash only but the post office has a cash point you can use!
Recommended to a few friends already, only went yesterday!
