We went there today for my birthday - as a result of friends buying us vouchers for our silver wedding.
Food was fantastic. beautifully presented - tasteful and reasonable.
Waiters were attentive but not " in your face"- ambience was lovely

Would I come again - Yes!

We ate the dinner menu £19.50 for 2 courses, , but there is a lunch menu- which looked lovely too.

Nice hotel with central location. Welcoming staff. Dinner was a disappointment, and we wished we'd eaten elsewhere in town. For the price charged, the dishes provided were very ungenerously portioned, so we were still hungry after the meal. Breakfast satisfactory but service could have been better.

Pelham House is tucked away like a hidden secret , just behind the high street. A quality jewel of a hotel where they pride themselves on their old fashioned service.
My advice - spoil yourselves and go for an executive room for your special weekend away.
One word of warning if you want parking - get in quickly and book a space as there is no big car park

Stayewd over for a wedding and I must say it is a perfect venue for a private event. The hotel is very pretty with a great garden but a little tired. The staff really make you feel very welcomed. The food is not as good as it should be and it is essential to pay for the parking space at the hotel. The town of Lewes is well worth a visit if you want cute English village. The hotel is not what I call vfm at £75.00 per nt as it is trying to be what it is not as it does look somewhat tired. if the decor and the food matched the price this would be a great place.

Great location but very poor execution. We stayed one night as our cottage near by was full.

We stayed in the former coach house, room was spacious but a little tired (particularly the bathroom).

This is a four star facility but is far from four star in quality. Breakfast tasted good when it arrived, but was shambolic and a twenty minute wait for coffee was ideal.

We would not describe this as a great value place to stay and to be charged £6.50 to park your car when you are a guest was unusual. Especially when the room cost £250 plus the cost of extra beds.

ear guest,

Thank you for your feedback regarding your recent stay at Pelham House. We
are sincerely sorry that you were disappointed with your stay. We strive to
ensure that our guests enjoy their time with us as much as possible, and
value any comments which help us to identify problems and therefore enhance
the experience we provide.

I am sorry to read that the bedroom decor fell below your expectations and
you felt that the room was not value for money.

We have more affordable bedrooms available however due to size of your party
we had allocated you the largest room in the hotel.

We aim to provide the best and most efficient service possible at all times
but in this case we have clearly failed to provide this when you came down
for breakfast.

Please allow us to take this opportunity again to offer our sincere
apologies for the issues you have experienced during your visit. We never
like a guest to leave disappointed, and always hope to turn a bad experience
around. For this reason, should you choose to stay in Lewes again, please
do contact the Reservations Manager so that I can oversee your
reservation personally.
