“Good value and great hospitality”

This was our second visit to Little Shiplake and we were equally impressed with the standard of the accommodation and the enthusiasm of Sam, the owner, for making our stay enjoyable as we were back in July. On a cold and wet January evening we were really grateful for the central heating that kept us warm and snug, especially when we walked back from our bar meal at the local pub!
You have the use of a self contained one bedroom flat with a living room as well as the double bedroom, kitchen and bathroom, so it is ideal if you appreciate having space to spread out. As we always seem to have loads of gear with us, the facility to park right next to the front door in a safe place is a real bonus.

“Perfect for our stay”
Reviewed 10 November 2017 for a stay in November 2017

We only stayed one night as we were attending the Lewes Firework celebrations which were great. Little Shiplake was perfect for us, cosy, clean and tidy. Sam was very helpful.

“HIDDEN TREASURE”
Reviewed 22 August 2017 for a stay in July 2017

Lovely owner Sam who goes that extra mile for you. Lovely delightful cottage just right for our girls day trip to the local Festival and stop over. Would definitely come again. Pub down the road does very good breakfast. Overall a lovely area we have stumbled upon and will be returning to I am sure.

“Idyllic and self-contained.”
Reviewed 21 August 2017 for a stay in August 2017

Really enjoyed our stay here. Lovely idyllic setting with a nice comfortable bed, scrupulously clean bathroom and a good sized kitchen. Sam was brilliant. We were on our way to a wedding and couldn't pick the key up on our way so she made sure we were able to find it when we returned later that night.
Our journey home was a long one and, feeling a little worse for wear the next day, Sam kindly let us check out a couple of hours later so we could rest properly before our big drive back. Lovely, flexible host; beautiful surroundings. Comfortable dwelling. I highly recommend Little Shiplake.

“Comfortable & relaxed”
Reviewed 23 July 2017 for a stay in July 2017

2 night stay used for attending our daughter's graduation with good access to Brighton. Great base for exploring the local area with footpath running through the property boundary & the East Sussex area in general. Sam was most accommodating if you need anything just ask. Clean & comfortable with everything you need. Friendly ponies & chickens. Would recommend. Pub within walking distance but we were too busy to try this time. Hope to return soon.

“Good value, comforatable and convenient”
Reviewed 8 July 2017 for a stay in July 2017

We stayed at Little Shiplake for two nights, arriving late evening after disembarking the Dieppe- Newhaven Ferry. Sam, the owner, was very accommodating about our scheduled late evening arrival.
The accommodation is very clean, comfortable and provided all we needed for a base whilst we looked around this beautiful part of East Sussex. As it is a self contained annex it is easy to come and go at any time. ALso, the convenience of being able to park right outside the door to the annex meant it was so easy to load and unload our luggage from the car.
Sam was very hospitable and keen to help on any way she could so that we enjoyed our stay.
