A fabulous place to stay in Rye

Review of Hayden's
5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 28 Aug 2020
We spent 2 nights here. Our room and bathroom were spacious, well equipped and comfortable and had a lovely view over the marsh. Breakfast was amazing, everything home cooked to order and served by very friendly and efficient staff. We can thoroughly recommend Hayden's.

Never one to usually leave a review but have just left this minute & while I am standing opposite & waiting for my husband to bring around the car I felt I had to say what a perfect stay we had. The staff (I could name a couple but would feel unfair to those I didn’t catch the name of, as every single person we encountered was fantastic) went above and beyond. Nothing was too much trouble. I don’t think I have had a better breakfast! Can never resist a cheese scone & the team were happy for me to make it my own with the extras.
We stupidly didn’t book a restaurant in time but it worked out well, we got a lovely take away from Layla’s across the road and were able to utilise the dining room at Hayden’s. It felt like a romantic private dinner for 2!
Beautiful, clean, light & airy. So a big thank you to all of the staff there for a wonderful experience, and we will definitely return.

Excellent location and facilities with accommodation above expectations . Access to dining area to facilitate eating "bought in food " was an added bonus as local restaurants were fully booked . Breakfast was a meal for the day experience with staff fully covid virus protected, efficient and pleasant in manner and appropriate clothing.

Room tip: sure all rooms offer a high standard

We came in on a wet Saturday after tea and cake- we weren't disappointed.

We all enjoyed a delicious cream tea- very good value for money (two scones each) and good quality ingredients note. Proper tea- which is always nice!

Very accommodating of a toddler too!

Thankyou

Stayed here for 2 nights at the weekend on a rare getaway from our children and dogs.
The room was clean, comfortable and tucked away at the top of the house so it was very quiet.
Very nice bathroom, lovely huge bed, friendly but unobtrusive staff.
Breakfast is until 12.30 so you can enjoy a lie- in first.
The cheddar eggs were excellent, the eggs benedict very good.
Will definitely be back.
