“Immaculate house in great location”
Reviewed 25 July 2012 for a stay in July 2012

We stayed here for a week viewing the many gardens and activities in the area. It is a super location within easy walking distance of the town centre. There is car parking right outside the house and bicycles available in the garage if so inclined.
The house is arranged on 3 floors with downstairs toilet, garage access and back door to a secluded well planted patio area plus chairs and table for outside dining. First floor houses the lounge and kitchen and upstairs there are two double bedrooms and bathroom. Kitchen is well equipped with full sized oven/grill, microwave and dishwasher. The lounge is a good size with TV, DVD player, CD player, a selection of games. CD's/DVD's and loads of travel literature indicating activities for the area.
The bed is super comfortable and there is a great shower/bath with plenty of hot water plus toiletries.
The whole house is immaculate and spottlessly clean and thoroughly recommend Rye View as a place to stay. An added bonus was the availability of wifi.
As an aside, the security deposit was returned very promptly on our return home.

“Lovely holiday rental”
Reviewed 28 March 2012 for a stay in March 2012

Just came back from a lovely stay in Rye with my partner, dad and step mum. Have been through Rye many times on my way to stays in Winchelsea when I was young. However, staying in Rye itself has been lovely. Particularly enjoyed the cream teas in Cobbles Tea shop!
As for Rye View, could not ask for a better place to stay. Within walking distance of Rye with shops, restuarants and pubs. Parking for 2 cars which was a particular bonus. The house was very clean, modern and comfortable and the Wi-Fi connection was another bonus.
Would definitely recommend to friends and would come again.

“Great house in the perfect location for touring Sussex and Kent.”
Reviewed 21 August 2011 for a stay in August 2011

Rye View is a very welcoming house and had everything we could wish for. Two important points for us were the easy and secure parking right in front of the house and, traveling with a teenager, the wi-fi connection. Rye View is in a very convenient situation, within walking distance to the station and the supermarket an, of, course, to all of the attractions of Rye.

We visited many of the lovely gardens of the area and especially liked Great Dixter, Sissinghurst and Pashley Manor Gardens. One day we went to London on the train, which was stress-free and relatively inexpensive from Rye station. On the one day it rained we went to Ashford and went shopping, in town and at the huge designer outlet.
And we loved the beach at Winchelsea, especially in the evening when there was hardly anyone about.

“Another Excellent Trip”
Reviewed 31 July 2011 for a stay in July 2011

This is the second time we've stayed at Rye View and it does not disappoint. The accommodation is excellent and in close proximity to the town.We cannot fault the accommodation and the wi-fi is very useful.

The food in Rye is generally very good and we dined at Fletchers (always excellent food) and the Hope Anchor Hotel. For coffee shops, try Cafe Zara in the High Street which was very good. Also try the Mariners in the High Street which is staffed by young adults with special needs. Food and drinks were excellent.

“Excellent facilities, comfortable and great location.”

We had previously visited Rye for a long weekend, and liked the town and the surrounding area so decided on a longer stay. Our choice of accomodation was Rye View. We liked the fact the property offered parking (can be a problem in this town) and also that it is situated in a gated development, which offers added security.
Rye View is very clean, modern accomodation. It is very well equipped with everything one is likely to need. The fittings and equipment are of good quality. There is everything one probably has at home, ie dishwasher and washing machine, flat screen digital TV and DVD, HiFi and WiFi, and because everything is to hand, it means the house is a good choice at any time of year. The owners have also provided a good selection of pre-recorded DVDs and books. We also found some bikes in the garage, which we didn't use. Had we known they were there, we would have taken our cycling helmets and would have enjoyed another aspect of the lovely countryside round and about.
The house is also in a excellent location, the gated development is quiet, despite the fact the entrance is on the main road. It is only a few minutes pleasant walk to the town of Rye, with its unique shops, picturesque cobbled streets, numerous restaurants and masses of history.
We were fortunate to have good weather and enjoyed visits to Camber Castle, Camber Sands, and local walks to Rye Harbour, Playden and Winchelsea. Further afield, we visited Bodiam Castle, taking the Bodiam Ferry boat, and Chartwell (former home of Sir Winston Churchill) and Scotney Castle both in Kent. Also close by is Battle (1066 and all that) and Pevensey, and Brighton and Eastbourne are within reasonable driving distances.
The area has a lot to offer and Rye View is an excellent base to explore East Sussex and beyond.
We would recommend both the Mermaid Hotel and the Hope Anchor Hotel for evening meals. The Mermaid is a bit pricey, but very nice for a special occasion. The Hope Anchor has special offers and we went twice and both enjoyed a three course meal with wine, coffee, mints and liquers for around £55.00 for the two of us. Lovely food, excellent value. There are numerous other restaurants, cafes and pubs, in fact, one is spoilt for choice.
Overall we had a great stay here. We would definately recommend Rye View to friends, and we would like to return to Rye some time in the future. When we do, we hope we can stay again at Rye View, where we know we will be comfortable, want for nothing and will be in an excellent location.
