The birdlife is amazing! We visited on a glorious summer's day and were enthralled by all we saw. It is a flat walk which is important for anybody with mobility issues. It was great to see families walking and out on their bikes enjoying nature. The information centre was very helpful too and issue free doggie poo bags for those who need them!!!

Thoroughly enjoyed this excellent location. We wish we would have taken our cycles as we would have go around the whole reserve.

Rye Harbour Nature Reserve is an idyllic area just outside Rye itself, park up in the huge ca rpark and then just start walking. I would advise you to pop in to the information center just inside the reserve to pick up a map and work out you route with the enthusiastic wardens on site.
We went for about a 6 mile walk that started off with loads of people walking up and down but soon emptied out as we went past the 2 mile walk mark.

The birds were a bonus but the star was the reserve itself as it was peaceful, stunning and full of things to see.

A great morning out that I cannot recommend enough
