“Stayed in No. 5, and it was excellent”

Imagine a giant beach hut with all mod-cons and you're close to the style of accommodation the apartments have in the boathouse. The view from the fully glazed front is of the river, so you live the rhythm of the tides, watching the boats go back and forth, looking at the ducks and the odd seagull (which cause no bother at all). In the front is the lounge with kitchenette, down stairs to the bathroom and the bedroom at the rear. You park in the allocated slot on the road side of the boathouse
We had everything we needed, everything worked and we had a very nice bottle of fizz as a welcome present, which went down a treat! The boathouse is just a short walk from town and also the supermarket. I can recommend the apartment to anyone wanting a quiet, tranquil visit to Rye and yet be within easy reach of all its facilities

“Fab”
Reviewed 8 July 2015 for a stay in June 2015

Fab stay at the Boathouse in Rye. Everything there you could possibly need. Particularly enjoyed sitting out on the balcony watching the tide, boats and bird life. Highlights of the week were a visit to Great Dixter and a walk on Camber sands. Would definitely recommend.

“Just right for a relaxing week”
Reviewed 8 July 2015 for a stay in June 2015

The booking was easy and the guidance notes, including how to get there, were just right. Parking arrangements couldn't be better. The accomodation was just right for the two of us for a relaxing week. We were lucky with the weather, which enabled us just to sit on the veranda and think and read, or even just to sit watching the tide going up and down in the creek. If the weather hadn't been good the sitting area inside would have been fine to sit and relax.

The situation is ideal with a five minute walk to the town of Rye (which we hugely enjoyed as being quite unspoilt) with excellent restaurants, anqiue outlets, quality shops and galleries. We also enjoyed just walking around the streets and taking in the views of the countryside.

“Perfect place for a relaxing break”
Reviewed 1 July 2015 for a stay in June 2015

we stayed for 6 nights at this perfect place for a relaxing break. The process of booking was slick and Chris the owner was very helpful keeping us well informed. The accommodation is clean, bright, modern and well maintained (the website pictures are a very accurate view of them). The apartment is in a lovely spot on the quay; perfect for sitting watching the birdlife on the veranda with a morning coffee, but also only a short walk into the centre of Rye. It also has a parking space which is a real plus for a location in central Rye. Rye itself is a lovely historic town with plenty of good shops and places to eat. It is also a good base for exploring along the Sussex and Kent coast to places like Winchelsea, Hastings, Battle or even Dungeness. All in all it is very apparent that there has been a lot of thought put into what the apartment offers as holiday accommodation. We will definitely go back again.
