We enjoyed our stay here; it seemed peaceful, quiet and relaxing even though it was evidently fully-booked. The bedroom was very comfortable if rather small. The bedlinen and shower room were luxurious. The breakfast was pretty good with a great choice (hash browns seemed out of a freezer packet though). We thought we'd be sleeping in a room inside the windmill (the photos on the website give them a rounded appearance!) but only the two main suites are in it. The others are in an annexe. It was fine though, and we had a nice view over the park and river. It is next to the railway line but this didn't bother us at all. Rye is a great town for a couple of days. We'd recommend it.

My wife and I visited Rye Windmill B&B for the August Bank Holiday Weekend. It was a surprise weekend arranged by our daughter for my wifes Birthday.

The windmill is in an excellent location with ample parking and only a minutes walk to shops, pubs, restaurants, etc. The rooms are decorated beautifully and a good taste of fittings and decor.

The old part of Rye is breathtaking with beautiful timber framed cottages from the Tudor period. Small cobbled streets and fantastic views.

A great weekend that I would recommend to friends and family.

Room Tip: When booking get the top room that has the balcony. If we could have booked this we wouldn't hav...

What a lovely place to stay, five minute walk from the station, would stay there again. The owners are very friendly, excellent breakfast. A perfect base to explore Rye. We like to find unusual places to stay on our short breaks, this did not disappoint, a grade two listed building. Book early, it is very popular.

Room Tip: Room four on the ground floor, nice and quiet.

We stayed 3 nights in one of the rooms attached to the windmill. The room was quite small ,but very tastefully decorated and well equipped. We had our breakfast in the windmill itself, which was a delight. The food was lovely. The owners were very friendly and helpful. Parking was a bonus and it was only 5 minutes walk into Rye,where there is a huge selection of places to eat. It is an ideal place to stay for visiting Rye and the surrounding area .

Room Tip: Would have loved to have stayed in the windmill itself, but there are only 2 rooms in it and they are...

We have just returned from a wonderful honeymoon here and I cannot recommend this B&B enough. We stayed in the Windmill suite which stretches over two floors with a lovely balcony to enjoy views of Rye; the windmill provides a fantastic base with which to explore Kent and East Sussex, whilst the town centre is just 5 minutes walk to enjoy the many restaurants and pubs Rye has to offer. Our hosts Jill and Brian were perfect; unobtrusive whilst providing a well-catered and delicious breakfast. When we returned in the late afternoon each day it was as if we were checking in each time; everything was replenished and refreshed and it certainly didn't feel as if the complimentary goodies etc were a one-time check-in thing! The bathroom on the second floor is fit for a couple and the whole suite was luxurious, a really lovely and unique place to stay which we hope to return to.

Room Tip: Trains run fairly frequently close to the windmill but why would you stay in during the day?

The stay at Windmill was a nice experiance in the heath of Rye. Individual rooms, all great equipped and very clean invites for a nice stay. We could only stay one night, but can recomment it definitly. Walking distance to good restaurants, city centre Rye and Sight Seeing places.

We spent 2 nights at the Windmill. We stayed in a ground floor room as we had our dog with us. Lovely welcome from the owners on arrival, we got tips and advice about what to see & do in and around Rye.
The rooms are clean, bright and stocked with toiletries, water tea & coffee. Very comfortable beds.
A big bonus is the private car park, unusual and hard to find in Rye.
The location is ideal, 5 minutes in to Rye.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and will definitely return. Oh and the breakfast was lovely, home cooked. Best poached eggs ever.
