I have just spent two great nights in this hotel and I cannot praise the staff and their collective attitude enough. From check-in to check-out the staff that I encountered were, without exception friendly, helpful and genuinely concerned that I had a good stay.
The food in the restaurant was well prepared and presented and delivered in reasonable time. It was good quality and tasted great. I had a full English breakfast and it was everything that you could hope for with obviously good quality and fresh ingredients. OK I could hear my arteries hardening but...well maybe I should go for a run or something.
The hotel is located next to the tidal stretch of the River Tillingham and stands between it and the main A259, and is a short walk from Rye town centre and all its attractions.
Parking is free on site and there is free wifi access in the resteraunt/bar and reception, although it didn't reach to my room, no real hardship though, just sitting in the restaurant watching the little boats on the river outside.
Great value, great customer care, would I stay here again?....you betcha!

Room Tip: First Floor rooms at the back overlook the river.

Very conveniently located in the beautiful town of Rye. Very warm and friendly welcome I'd describe the room as approaching "premier inn" status although the cleaning might not be quite so fastidious as Premier Inn.

On the river side there is a little patio but unfortunately it catches the morning sun, not evening.

This is a good, value for money hotel with a friendly welcome.

my husband and I recently held our wedding reception at the river haven hotel and we couldn't have asked for a better day. From our first phone call to the hotel and meeting with Linda the manager we knew that it was the venue for us. Linda could not have been more lovely and helpful and her and her staff worked hard preparing the restaurant for our reception. We had a carvery for our meal and it was faultless, all our guests commented on how nice it was. The hotel is situated on the river bank so photos outside are fab. Our bedroom for the night was clean and comfortable and had everything we could possibly need. Our experience from start to finish was first class with no problems and friendly helpful service. The river haven offers exceptional value for money compared to other overpriced hotels in Rye and we would fully recommend it to anyone thinking of having their wedding reception there. free parking is a bonus too. Lastly we had a wonderful breakfast with all the family members that stayed the night which was a perfect ending to a perfect wedding day and night. Thank you to everyone at the hotel and will upload some photos when we get them.

Room Tip: no lift but rooms on the river bank are fab

We booked one night after seeing reviews and the plus side it had parking. The room was very pleasant and overlooked the river which was nice, it was cleaned and well maintained. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. Our neighbouring room unfortunately liked their telly quite loud at 6.30 in the morning which was a bit annoying. Slightly disappointed by the way the full English was cooked, plenty of content but plenty of grease, quite literally swimming in it, couldn't stomach it so had to have a yoghurt instead.

Room Tip: Unless you are tall, if you want a river view, ask for a room on the first floor, we didn't see...

I booked a night here at rather short notice when I decided to go away for the Bank Holiday so expected to pay slightly over-the-top and didn't know what to expect. The hotel itself is slightly further out of Rye than much of the accommodation but it's a pleasant, short walk along the riverbank into the main area. Clean and tidy, excellently appointed bedroom and a lovely buffet Full English breakfast the next morning. I'd definitely stay here again.

Stayed here for 3 days in April. The hotel was clean and considering the weather we did not need to have the heating on during our stay. Breakfast was filling and hubby thoroughly enjoyed the full English breakfast each morning. Ate in the restaurant one evening and again the food was lovely although a few things were not available. A big bonus having parking available and Rye is only a short walk away. Would stay here again

This is a perfectly functional, no frills type of hotel. Situated in the centre of Rye, it's ideally placed to get access to the town and includes a decent sized car park (which is a big plus).

Our room was spacious and clean, and the staff were both friendly and professional. Cooked breakfasts seemed to be the order of the day - there was one slice of melon left by the time we arrived for breakfast (no more was available at all after that) and the croissants had seen better days (and again, none after the first day). However, cooked breakfasts were hot and plentiful.

No complaints - would happily go back.

Room Tip: Rooms 19 - 22 are on the second floor and quieter.
