Caravan was clean with tea, coffee, sugar, dog treats, towels, bedding provided. New decking allowed you to leave the door open. The beach 5 minute walk away and a coop 2 minutes away very well stock easily able to buy a full dinner to cook. Swimming pool small but good enough for the children. Entertainment for the kids looked good although adult entertainment could be better. Owner of the caravan on site a lot and extremely helpful and friendly would recommend enjoyed our stay x
Just spent the weekend here with my mum and daughters and loved it. The caravan was spotless and tea coffee sugar and other basics provided including towels and bedding. There was table and chairs outside for warmer weather. My dog was welcome and there was even a jar of dog treats. The weekend was quite cold but the heating was lovely and warm in the caravan. There was a coop 2 minute walk away. The beach and nature reserve were 5 minutes away. A good base to explore Rye, Hastings, Camber among others. Entertainment cards were also provided for entrance but we were too tired. There is also a heated pool for use. Would definitely return. Thankyou.
Caravan situated on lovely site at Winchelsea. Amenities close to are a good Co-op shop, an outdoor swimming pool that the children adored! On-site restaurant (though we did not use this) and the Fish and Chip van on Friday is not to be missed (used this and had the best supper of the week! with minimal washing up!) The beach is just over the sea wall (stony but had sandy patches when the tide was out!) We enjoyed several bike-rides around the area - once across the road there is some lovely footpaths that are safe for learner riders! Our hostess was extremely helpful and those little touches - like providing tea/coffee/sugar and yummy biscuits made arrival far less stressful. Thank you so much for a lovely unscheduled holiday!
Chose to stay here after reading other reviews, annd I have to say that my family had a wonderful Easter break staying here. Clean, comfortable with all needs catered for. The owner is lovely, and very quick to respond to any queries that we had. Little touches make all the difference as well, nothing like a pack of biscuits and a cup of tea after a long journey, thank you!
Would definetly stay here again and will be recommending to friends and family!
This is the 2nd time we have stayed here and I can truly say it was just as nice as the first time. In fact the new panel radiators in each of the rooms was great (especially in the bathroom). We were lovely and warm and the owner even put the heating on for us before we got there.
The caravan site has good amenities. The kids had enough to keep them entertained, they made some new friends, and the board games in the caravan were a plus. It was just close enough to the playground for them to run to and fro and it's away from the noise of the clubhouse in the evenings. We did enjoy the live entertainment on a couple of evenings.
There is a co-op just outside the main gate which is very handy and the caravan had everything we needed to make our meals. We got to see more of the local area on this break and it's such a lovely place with lots of beautiful Sussex villages - Rye, Battle, Tenterden and we made it into Brighton for the day this time too. But a simple afternoon rockpooling on the beach was just as great, especially when we found some small fossils by the cliff.
Sitting on the sunny patio in March, having croissants and boiled egg breakfasts, felt like we were miles from home and we got to really relax - without too much effort to get away. I'd recommend this caravan for couples or families. There was a real mix of people staying, both old and young.
