“Museum Like aladins cave but watch out if you take a bag.”
Reviewed 22 September 2011

Due to incorrect directions it took me a lot longer to reach this museum than it should. It is situated in a martello tower on the esplanade. When you go in you have no idea what is in store for you.It is not till you get down to the basement that you reach Aladins cave.Hundreds of different types of machines. For me the highlight was the display on the old Regal cinema.this included the original progector, advertising boards, programmes, dimmer switches.Having been in there and had a pleasant half an hour disaster struck.I was approached by the curator who suggested that i might like to look in the archive room so i went and had a brief look.I had been in there for about 5 minutes when he approached me again and said that i had to leave my bag at the cashiers desk.i pointed out that there was no sign to that effect.I tolfd him i was leaving. However i was trying to find my way out and he approached me again. On my way out i thought that i would just go up to the roof when he approached me again. So i left as i could not be bothered with the hassle. If they dont want you to take bags in with you then they should make it clear before you go in.Needless to say i wont be going back to this museum.
