“Wonderful trip down memory lane”

One visit is not enough! There is so much to look at. When we have visitors we always include the Museum because there is something for everyone.

“Interesting couple of hours”
Reviewed 2 February 2014

We went on Saturday during a rain storm and were pleasantly surprised. The place looks tiny from the outside but was actually a bit of a Tardis.
Loads of interesting exhibits from the wars, local finds, nature, collections etc.
The staff are very passionate and knowledgeable.
A great job on very little money and sad that the local council have made it so difficult to get a lottery grant or put a tea room downstairs, you have to wonder who's side these civil servants are on sometimes.
The volunteers to a great job.

“Don't miss this amazing collection!”
Reviewed 12 December 2013

Looking at the Martello Tower from the outside in no way prepares one for the size on the inside or the scale of this amazing collection of everyday items. In addition to the expected history of the tower and the town of Seaford, the vast lowest level contains a row of old shops and rack after rack of radios, televisions, typewriters and all manner of household appiances, everything from cameras to washing machines. It's a veritable treasure trove, fascinating nostalgia for the casual visitor with a passing interest in social history, but also a must-see and great resource for anybody studying consumer goods and their evolution. It really is well worth a visit and the staff are friendly and helpful.

“An Aladdin's Cave or The Tardis”
Reviewed 26 November 2013

This is a paradise for everyone who loves a bit of nostalgia. Old radios, shops, clothes household appliances..... Situated in the old Martello Tower it is so much bigger than a cursory glance would suggest. Worth exploring and such friendly staff.

“Just go!”
Reviewed 11 October 2013

We had a great time with our grandson here. I won't spoil the surprise but it's not what you expect inside. For the price they deserve to have us visit...
