“Great coffee at the Martello kiosk!”
Review of Seaford Beach

Seaford beach can be a bit bleak in the winter but it is cheered up by the coffee kiosk next to the Martello Tower, where you can buy refreshments all year round. The staff are always happy and smiling even under pressure (it can be very busy on a fine day!) and the coffee is superb. Food is also served here and is very good and great value for money. Seating is provided on picnic benches on the decked beach, but drinks can be provided in take away cups so in bad weather they can be taken back to your car. There is ample parking along the seafront and toilets are right there. A popular spot with dog walkers, dogs are always welcome. Well wworth a visit!

The beach is a smashing place even in the winter, amazing views of Newhaven and Seaford head. Only downside to the beach is that there is no where you can buy and enjoy a glass of wine.

A wonderful place to enjoy the local scenery from Seaford Head through to Newhaven. Free parking. However...... it is rebuilt by many bulldozers from October through to early Spring. (Long shore drift, I think they call it?)

You can easily spend time both on the beach and walking up Seaford Head (with its famous golf course), which flanks the east end of the beach at Splash Point (complete with Kittywake colony in the spring). The view of the beach and bay from the top of Seaford Head is stunning - it is well worth bringing binoculars - on a clear day you can see past Brighton to the west. If you climb a little further there is a classic view of the Seven Sisters cliffs to the east.
The beach is also a sea defence, so the shingle shelves steeply and the promenade is a mile long with excellent but discreet cafe facilities. Take care with small children...the beach does drop away into the sea. If you are older and swim...it's fine and there is the reassurance that the Seaford Lifeguards have won major awards! Parking is free and there is plenty...but if you come by train, Seaford Station is only 5-7 minutes away and the trains run every 30 minutes to and from Brighton via Lewes.

It's a beach and promenade, easy to park, no crowds, no overdevelopment. It has two tea huts and a museum.
