Seven Sisters Country park is ideal for walking. but after leaving the visitor centre there are are no facilities so you have to make sure you take any requirement before setting out walking. There are marked out trails to follow. A lovely part of the country visit.

“Beautiful with stunning views”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 April 2014

Some of my girlfriends and I came here a couple days ago to get away from the busy city life and "be at one" with nature. It was a great decision. We took a 2.5 hour National Express Coach for ~14 pounds from the Victoria Coach Station to Brighton and then hopped onto one of the local buses (Bus 12) for approximately 45 minutes to the Seven Sisters Country Park.

There are are multiple hikes you can do, depending on what you want to see. We took two different routes: the Path to Seaford Head View Point and the Park Trail. The Seaford route was beautiful and very picturesque. So if you're looking to take a lot of pictures, do this hike! The footpath itself is a little unsteady on this route though, so make sure you're wearing good sneakers. You end up walking along a small river bank surrounded by greenery and pastures with sheep and cows. At the very end are a couple cottages and the sea. It is a GORGEOUS view. If you actually want to put your feet in the water, I recommend taking the Beach Trail since you won't be able to do it from this particular route.

I prefer more rigorous hikes, so my favorite was actually the Park Trail. This one leads you directly up to the actual cliffs. It's 3 miles in total and almost all of it is uphill, so be ready for a great leg workout. To get to the top, I believe you can take a couple different paths. We took a steeper footpath on the way up and a flatter one on the way down. Along the walk, you'll once again encounter a lot of sheep but mostly greenery. At one point, you might even feel like Maria in the Sound of Music frolicking in the fields--it's just that beautiful up there. Once you get to the very top, the view of the sea is absolutely stunning!

Overall, great day trip!

“A very special unique place-stunning views.”

We have been coming here for years and it never fails to inspire. The winding walk from Exceat down to the sea at Cuckmere Haven is very pleasant and the birdlife is wonderful. The view of the Seven Sisters from the beach is amazing and then when you climb up to the cliffs there are fantastic views of the sea and there is such a feeling of space and the strong wind is very embracing. Walking the cliffs is hard work but very rewarding. Although relatively close to Eastbourne and Brighton this place is very unspoilt and you feel truly in the countryside. There are many great walks around the area- the walk from Alfriston to Exceat is really lovely.

“Day trip”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 April 2014

Went with my mother on a day trip here by traveling on the bus from London area. There are a couple of different hikes to choose from, all that from what I can tell seem leisurely with no great incline just flat area. It was the most beautiful scenic hike I have ever taken. I would get married on this beach absolutely beautiful and breathtaking. My advice would be to pack a picnic basket and your bathing suit.
