As it was raining on my husband's birthday, we decided to have lunch in the tea-room. The plan had been to have dinner out in the evening, however, the portions were so generous that we didn't need to eat for the rest of the day. The crab salad apart from being enormous was delicious and the lemon meringue pie was the best I have ever tasted. We would be tempted to return just for that! Other people were having the afternoon tea which also looked very tempting. We found the service to be both friendly and helpful. We would definitely return here another time, our only criticism was that where we sat there were no windows and it was a little dark. We enjoyed looking round the museum after we had eaten as well as buying some of the tempting delights on offer in the lovely shop, all in all we would both recommend the tea room, museum and shop, indeed we plan to take friends there when an opportunity arises.
